The darn thing doesn't turn anymore. Everyone says to push the reset button in until a click is heard but I put in a bit of force and I haven't heard a click so I stopped because I didn't want to break it. Is there something I haven't checked or do I keep adding force?

I have a Dyson 17, the Absolute Brand special for pet hair. I think I have a blockage in the hose. Symptoms are: spewing out fuzz balls and small particles. I have checked all the blockage sites recommended by Dyson and all are clear except a small flexible transparent hose, 6 or 7 inches long, curled up underneath the cleaner head/brush bar unit. Any ideas? I've tried to pull out the stuff stuck in there, but I'm afraid to perforate the hose and I don't know any way to disconnect it.

Not sucking We have an Oreck XL and today it is blowing out dust instead of sucking it up. I just replaced the belt and about 6 months ago, we took it to our Oreck dealer and had it rehauled. I opened it up to check all and it all looked fine. Then I tuned on the machine while unzipped and noticed that the bad does not inflate as it used to. What can I do? Thanks, Connie [email protected]

Thankyou in advance for the help i am sure you will be able to provide.

The problem is almost certainly a fatigue break in the flex. These usually happen where the flex enters the handle through the rubber sleeve near the on off switch. You will need to cut about four inches off the wire and reconnect it to the switch. ... Vacuums
