Having problems with your Electrolux Central Vacuum ?

It doesn' come on when hose is plugged in. I checked that the unit was plugged in and the socket works.

Answers :

It could be one of several problems.
\015\0121. Ensure the filter is clean. It should be rinsed and dried thoroughly about every six months. Allowing it to go longer results in dirty filter, which results in excessive stain on the motor, which will eventually cause the motor to burn out. I highly recommend keeping an extra filter on hand to use while the other is drying.
\015\0122. Ensure filter is in the vacuum and properly seated. There's a cut-off switch above the filter that prevents the vacuum from working if there is no filter. This is to prevent dirt and debris from being soaked into the motor compartment and thus into the motor.
\015\0123. Detach the low voltage wiring from side of unit. Use a pair of needle nose pliers to short across the terminals of the vacuum. If the motor and CVA board are good the vacuum should run. If it doesn't, the problem is with the motor or CVA. Further trouble-shooting to determine the problem should be done at an authorized Aerus Electrolux store by a trained technician.
\015\0124. Any broken or worn out switches, wiring, and/or terminals in vacuum unit or hose/attachments could also result in the machine not working. This is assuming you have the deluxe set of attachments with the electric hose and power nozzle.
\015\012Testing hose: Detach hose from wall and wand. Turn switch full on. Using a continuity tester or multimeter, place one lead in a terminal on the hose, and the other lead to each lead on the other end of the hose. One lead should read zero, the other infinity. Repeat with the other terminal. The readings on the other end of the hose should be opposite of the first lead. If any of the reading are other than this, the hose needs to be repaired or replaced.
\015\012Any problem can be easily diagnosed at an authorized Aerus Electrolux store. You'll need to take the unit, hose, wands, and power nozzle to the shop for accurate diagnosis.

Our unit is 7024A Electrolux Oxygen 3 - it seems to work great but suddenly, the head or 'power brush' or whatever it is called - has died. I checked by removing the hose and plugging it directly into the body, but it is still dead. Without that motorized head working, the vacuum is useless. Is it worth replacing? The unit is only about 1 year old and has seen light use only. Very frustrating, since it was the most expensive unit in the store:(

Hooked everything up per directions. I plugged it in to the closest electrical outlet and nothing happened. The lights did not light up, the connected wall control and sensors leds do not light up. It appears the unit doesn't have power. The electrical outlet socket is fine as everything else I plug into it works fine. I have tried every other electrical outlet available. The unit won't power on from any outlet, and all of those outlets run other things, like power tools an refrigerators

Hoover S3765 I have a Hoover S3765 (serial # 040600024465) and the unit stops working for no apparent reason. The light on top of the unit goes off when it shuts down, so I don't believe it's a problem between the hose, the tube and the floor unit. Sometimes I have to let it sit for over one hour before it will come back on. I've tried different electrical plugs too. Still won't turn on. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks

If you light and nozzle motor both go off at the same time, you might have a bad power cord. Mine had this problem which I could verify by jiggling/twisting the cord near the strain relief on the nozzle. It would go on and off as I did this. ... Hoover S3765-040 WindTunnel Bagless Canister Vacuum

I have a Miele s251i vacuum that was working just fine until I umplugged it (while running) and re-plugged it in at a closer socket. When I replugged it, it started for a second and then stopped. Doesn't work Our home was built and finished in August 07.  The central vac doesn't work.  There is supposed to be a slot that opens in the kitchen where you sweep the dust and it sucks it up.  Also, the mounted unit on the garage wall has a hose that goes up into the house but there is a hole open at the bottom of the unit.  Where can I get someone to help us?  Or, is there an installation manual I can download to see if the builder did it properly.  He stole our solar heater for our pool and s

Just purchased the unit 2 weeks ago. Worked great. Last night I left it plugged into an outlet - but turned "off". When pluged, in the unit turns on ( green light illuminates ) and feels warm. Yes, I filled the water container. The unit does not generate any steam. For some reason, I do not have an "operation manual" --- but it doesn't seem to be all that complicated! Have left it plugged in for 25 minutes. A small amount of water came out while just sitting. Then another small amount of water comes out when I push the handle in. I will assume that steam should come out when I push the handle in. Well, it do

Poor suction The actual sweeper seems to work ok, but the hose attachment has some suction but not enough to pick up things I think it should and not enough to make the power brush spin. I've checked everywhere I can for clogs, but I can't see anything. And there doesn't seem to be any way to check to hose itself for clogs. I've cleaned out the container and the filters, but there's still a problem.

Check the inlet down by the brush roll, make sure it is open, if it is then the hose itself must have a clog. If the hose comes off, drop something like a marble in one end and see it it comes out the other end, if it doesn't then you have a clog. ... The automatic drain hose is hooked up to the back of the unit, but when the bucket is full, the automatic pump does not work. The automatic pump should come on and empty the bucket, but it does not come on unless the water is siphoned manually through the tube. Then the pump come on and empties the bucket. I have reattached the tube and still had to manually siphon the water through the tube. Any suggestions?

NO POWER My Dyson DCO4 Absolute (purple&lime) won't' switch on.
