Clogged hose and can not get the handle off
\015 I sucked up a sock and now it is stuck in the hose. I can not get the handle off of the hose, i think that it is near the top of the hose1\015
The best way to fix this problem is to Stick the other end of the handle into the wall inlet making the nozzle contact the pin jacks of the wall inlet. You may need to work the clog back and forth by then plugging the hose in normally. Eventually you will be able to work the clog out of the hose.
\015\012If all else fails you should use a plumbers snake.

Wondering if the head is plugged up because it makes a sound like air is escaping somewhere. I've replaced the original cloth bag with a comparable "O" paper bag from Sears. I tried to see if there was a clog in the hose by placing a broom handle in the hose to see if something would loosen. I also cleaned the filter and the air filter. If the head is plugged, how can I fix it? We can't get the vacuum apart. Thanks.

Have Dyson DC 14. When tilt to vacuum, the handle and coiled hose comes away from the unit. Suction I too have the same problem as Mr. Chief. I followed your advice and checked all the hose attachments, no clog.
