Having problems with your Electrolux EL7020A Oxygen 3 Ultra Canister Vacuum Cleaner Bagged Vacuum ?

The repair shop told me my Oxygen3 needs to have a sumo(?) board replaced...again. I am not willing to pay for another repair and am wondering whether an new hose and adjustable extension tube would solve the recurring problem. Is the sumo board located in those parts or is it a malfunction that transfers to somewhere in the canister?

Answers :

The Sumo Board, is housed inside the canister section, part # and discription below

My wife's Viking 6690 smoked this last weekend. I opened up the end where the power switches are and the board had a 0.01 ufd capacitor the blew up. That would be easy enough to repair. However when the Cap blew, it also fried a small quarter watt resistor that sits just under the upper white pin connector on the board. The resistor is burnt beyond recognition and I am trying to find its value. Is there a schematic available for that board or a closeup picture of the board so that I could

A 'burn' hole has appeared in the Microwave Outlet Cover causing arcing (or similar sparking and blue flashing!). Would replacing this cover with a new one solve the problem or does it suggest something that would quickly reoccur? Would it be an economical repair or should we ditch the machine for a replacement? Thanks in advance etc it is appreciated.

No problem with the vacuum. Works great. However, we misplaced the various attachments (extension tube, brushes, etc.) that go with the vacuum. I have an Eureka Express canister vacuum - I believe it's model 8284 - that just stopped working. Plug it in, turn it on, and absolutely nothing happens. I took it to the local sew and vac place and they say it's a circuit board that is no longer available. I've looked at all the parts lists and diagrams for that vacuum and I would swear there isn't a circuit board there. (I wouldn't have even thought that in 1989 they would have used circuits.) In any case, I absolutely love this machine a

I have an electrolux genesis upright vacuum that I bought used about 8 years ago. It has been A great vacuum the best I ever had. I thought the belt had come off so I took it in for repair. They called today and said that the brush rotor motor was bad and it would be around 148.00 dollars to repair. My question is could I buy the part and have my husband replace it or would it be too complicated. Can you still buy an electrolux vacuum comparable to this one and how much are they. Kirby Vacuum Hi Bruce, In my opinion, yes the Kirby would be worth it, as long as you are not replacing the motor. The switch would be the most expensive part besides the motor that would need to be replaced. The switch costs USD 49.99, the cord is roughly $39.99, and the carbon brushes are $29.99. I can easily walk you through any of these repairs should you need help. Kirby's are great vacuum cleaners, that usually last 30+ years. Brand new these machines sell in the US for $1600 or more,

I have an Electrolux Oxygen 3 vacuum I purchased rebuilt. After 1 month the power stopped working. I took it into Electrolux Authorized repair dealer, which was a horrible experience. When we received it back it was clearly not as powerful as before. Does anyone have any suggestions on what the problem may be? I would rather fix it myself than take it back to them. The next repair center is too far away. I am pretty good with fixing things, just needs some guidance. I think the repair center rep

Altrev, I have an ODC325 Black&Decker spacemaker coffeemaker on my boat and it stopped working this weekend although the hot plate still gets hot.
