Hi. We've got a Dyson DC17 "Animal". It's clogged, and we are unable to separate the purple cyclone cap from the main cyclone body to get to the problem. We've heard of 4 torx screws that take some interesting tactics to access. I've been through this thing with a flashlight, and torx tools for a protracted period, and even after removing the torx screws was unable to ultimately separate the two pieces (main body from purple cap assembly). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx -

I have a Hoover Slider, Model #S2105, Serial #050500084989, and I need instructions on putting it back together; with parts and assembly of parts. I took it apart because it was making a noise, and I believe one of the belts had come off. However, when I took the screws out of the bottom to check the belts, the whole thing fell apart. Now I can't get back together properly. It will not come on, and I believe it is because the switch that makes it come on when you lower the handle is not posi

This is not an electrolux problem, but I am hoping one of the experts can answer the question. I have a Sears air compressor that suddenly stopped working. After looking at how the motor case is put together, it appeared that it would essentially have to be destroyed to get it apart and into the motor. I received a new compressor for my birthday so I decided to tear into the old one to do some diagnosis. After getting into the case where I could see the motor/pump, I have discovered the prob

I have an Electrolux Commercial Upright vacuum Model U129C. It has a device which turns off the motor driving the beater bar if something gets stuck in it. There is a simple reset button to restart the beater after clearing the obstruction. Just recently on flat dense low pile surfaces the switch cuts in after just a few seconds and turns the beater bar off. This doesn't happen on high pile carpet but the motor doesn't quite sound normal. There is no obstruction - the beater bar can spin freely
