Having problems with your Electrolux Epic 3500 Vacuum ?

Can I lift the vacuum beater bar higher up? Bought new carpet and would like it to push smoother!!! Bought a shag carpet

Answers :

No. The Electrolux (Aerus) uprights are auto adjusting to the height of the carpet. Make sure the brush is spinning when the vacuum is on. If it's not, this will cause difficulty in use.

Dirt devil vacuum cleaner--trouble vacuuming dirt and pet hair on carpeting --is the problem with the spinning brush which contacts the floor,  not contacting the carpeting??  I thought (when I bought this vacuum) that the aforementioned brush was adjustable to various heights of carpeting.  Sometimes, it seems like nothing is being vacuumed up --unless I have just put a new bag on the vacuum... Do I need or can I replace the spinning brush on the bottom of the vacuum so it kicks up and vacuums

I just bought a good Sears Kenmore Progressive 300 upright vacuum (116.38812891) today at a garage sale for five bucks. I left my relic Electrolux with the new owners of my former home during a recent relocation. In the interim I bought a Bissel 3750H which I do not care for, and borrowed a Eureka 7685 AU which performs somewhat better. I cleaned up the Kenmore, and though it seems to run well, noticed the drive belt is showing signs of degeneration. I would like to replace it, but was unable t

Hi, I have a canister Kenmore vacuum with power head. Everytime I use it, it smells sour. Its strong and like FEET with bad odor. My old Kenmore did the same thing but I used it anyway...because the power was great. We don't have feet problems or pets. The carpeting was new when we bought this vacuum.

I have bought new Hoover bags on two occasions. The first spares I bought were the Xxxl variety and I didn't think they fitted that well. The next spares I bought were the type g megafilt. I have had my Bissell Healthy Home for just over a year. I use it once or twice a week on five area rugs and two small bedrooms with wall to wall carpet. Just recently, the motor started to sound extremely loud and it smells like it's burning. The vacuum still picks up everything and all the brushes are turning. Advice? I really like this vacuum and would really like to fix it rather than replace it!

I bought the Eureka 4703D model vacuum and my very first time powering it on, it was extremely loud - abnormally loud, and I don't know if it is loud like that because I possibly put it together wrong, or there is something wrong with it or it was previously damaged and I would like to know if this is something I can fix myself or do I have to take it back apart and return it to Walmart where I purchased it from. Overheated vacuum After I finished vacuuming the library last night I changed the bag and shook out both filters and vacuum would not restart. Hello, I have a problem with my Eureka Powerline bagged upright vacuum. It has a 12 amp motor and is model #4352, Type D. It was probably bought new in 1998. My problem is, while vacuuming today the motor seemed to slow down all of the sudden and then began smelling like burning rubber. I shut the vacuum off to check for blockages but could not find anything blocked. When I then turned it on again it runs but seems to only be running at 1/2 the motor speed and still has the rubber buring smell.

It sounds like a rubber sealing in the motor has come loose and is being constantly rubbed against the walls of the motor with would cause the smell and loss of motor speed caused by the fricton of rubber against the rod so if you can get to the moto ... Vacuums

My filter queen just had the motor rebuilt last year and was basically a brand new unit when I got it back. It is not picking anything up now when I vacuum. The beater bar on the carpet attachment is turning fine and when I take all the attachments off the hose I can feel the suction being created like it should be picking up debris just fine. I have emptied the canister even when it did not have much in it; however, it still will not pick anything up off the carpet. It picks up debris tempo

Lost suction I've only used this vacuum a few times, it's practically brand new. Now, one I turn it on, it sounds fine, and the hose feels as if it's getting some suction, but it's not strong enough to actually **** things up from the carpet into the canister. I have completely emptied the canister and bought a new filter. Nothing seems to help.

I have a Eureka 4870GZ. It turns on, but the brush roller doesn't move. The belt looks fine.
