I havea Bissell ProHeat Model 7901. My problem is that the brush doesn't rotate. I have removed the access cover and both belts and found that the central cylinder for both belts is frozen and will not turn easily. Both belts are fine, except they are now burnt from this cylinder not being able to rotate. What I need is how do I remove the top cover to get at this cylinder to remove it and free it up?

We have bissell pro heat and I have put new belts on and took off the top plastic cover I blew out the lines and I still can't get it to pump water or solution. I have a Necchi LYdia 3 machine type 544 The motor was overheating and I removed the bottom cover and examined the motor .It looked fine and ran well. It worked OK for a time and then got hot.I was able to partially remove the motor for inspection.I found that the cooling impeller was not secured to the shaft,I tightened the set screws and reinstalled the motor. Yes there is a belt. I believe there is a clutch of some type and it is tricky to remove.
