I have an old Miele canister vacuum and I do not know how to disassemble the hose to check for a clog. I think it sucked up a nerf ball the size of a ping pong ball. I changed the bag but it did isn't appear to be in the bag. The vacuum powers on but I do not have suction with the hose, and since the hose has hard plastic elbow joints I do not want to pry them apart and break it

Have Electrolux 1590 whole house vac, and can't see how to get brushes out. Leads so short, and don't want to break them trying to free brushes. Do they slide out of plastic housing? My eyes not real good, but it looks like the leads are part of a brass sleeve that slides into the plastic housing. It also looks like the plastic housing may be a snap lock type, but I don't see how to open it.

I have a Bissell Steam Cleaner that is not sucking up the water when cleaning. I used a full container of water and when it was empty I emptied out the water, only to find very little dirty water in it. I noticed the window, as i used it, seemed like it wasnt sucking up the water. I took the plastic cover off to clean it (it didnt look very dirty in the first place), an i noticed that the grey plastic flap was on but not moving up or down. I thought there may be dirt in it that prevented it from

We have had three belts break on your hoover vaccum cleaner u5472-940. It is easy to replace, you just remove the plastic part over it, put belt on wheel and then put it back on. Any idea on why the belt keeps breaking?

Sometimes when you buy belts from the walmart or target, they are not at the correct specification and they brake as soon as you turn on the machine. i would suggest that you buy these belts from the company. ... Hoover F6021-900 Steam Vacuum

We have a series e rainbow cleaner. my wife had been using it i turned off and turned the canister up sie down to get the serial number. it would not turn back on.we need a new hose and thats why i was looking for the serial num. it has a rocker switch and the motor will work on low but will not run on the suction side. i have checked the wiring harnesses out as best i could without taken it all apart. im wondering if it may be the switch. it started once and then stopped.

There is one way to verify if it is the switch. It's kind of dangerous though, but not too bad.You need an extra piece of wire, fairly thick.I would use 4 guage myself.Hold it with pliers, just in case it gets hot.Turn the switch on and hold the wire to ... Rainbow Vacuums

Brushes stopped The brushes stopped turning while using the cleaner. I removed the brushes to see if the spindle was broken, it wasn't. I then removed the top plastic cover and checked the switch that engages the brushes; it didn't seem to be moving correctly. There's one spring on the switch - should there be two? The brush roller stops turning and I can smell the belt burning, then it will catch and start working normal. I looked under the plate to check the belts and they looked okay and no hang ups of string or anything. The only thing that seemed weird was that the smaller belt that actually attaches and turns the roller is a bit loose. The larger belt is tight but looks like its the one that is burning and causing the smell.

Better to replace both belts the smaller one is stretched out thats whyits slipping ,be sure to clean the old rubber off the motor shaft before replacing the belts.it will cause the new belts to run unevevly and go bad before their time ... The belt on my used Eureka Boss 5857 upright slips off the end of the motor shaft every time the vacuum is used. When I turn the brush roll slowly by hand, the belt walks toward the end of the shaft. It looks like there was a plastic projection from the base that snapped off, and maybe that plastic piece used to block the belt from falling off. Do I need to try to reconstruct that plastic piece, or is something else wrong?
