Having problems with your Electrolux UltraLux 2000 Bagged Canister Vacuum ?

I am looking to buy a used electrolux vacuum cleaner. I have the choice between the ultralux, the marquise, the diamond jubilee, and the olympia. Which one is the best model? Which has the best performance for the least amount of repairs?

Answers :

The Ultralux is the newest of your list. The Olympia has the old type powernozzel that is rectangular. The rest have the new L shaped powernozzel and the brush is longer. As to the performance, the three newer vacuums should be the same. If the vacuums are used and not rebuilt, I would select the Ultralux. The Marquise had a motor issue when they came out and if the motor has not been changed I would stear clear of it. I changed 37 motors in one month under warranty. They did rectify the problem with the later models of the Ultralux.

I have an electrolux genesis upright vacuum that I bought used about 8 years ago. It has been A great vacuum the best I ever had. I thought the belt had come off so I took it in for repair. They called today and said that the brush rotor motor was bad and it would be around 148.00 dollars to repair. My question is could I buy the part and have my husband replace it or would it be too complicated. Can you still buy an electrolux vacuum comparable to this one and how much are they. My dyson has two gears as it were! One for normal suction and the other for deeper cleaning. There used to be a real difference in the performance between the two options, also the noise changed when you swithched from one to the other. This no longer occurs. I have taken it apart according to your instruction, cleaned all the various bits but still no luck. The cat fur is still clearly visible despite my best efforts. Can you please help!!!!

I have a Euro Pro Compact Performer model # EP 171 which I love. It is the best iron I have found for my quilting class. When I went to use it, I found my cats had chewed the cord to the point that it is unsafe. I took it to a repair shop to have a new cord put on it and they told me it had to go back to the factory. I do not want to purchase another iron because it is my understanding this model is no longer made and because I love it. May I send this iron back to the factory to have a new

VACUUM REPAIR I have a Hoover Savvy upright, windtunnel, bag/bagless vacuum (model U8150-900). The Handle Release Foot Pedal - Part #38434026 broke soon after purchase but I finally found a source to replace this item. The problem is that now that I have the repair part I cannot figure out how to remove the old pedal and install the new one. The housing appears to be one piece of solid plastic. Any ideas, PLEASE! A friend who bought a multimaster less than a year ago has had his start a loud 'clattering', dry, noise, and the gearbox started to get hot. The output shaft now has about the same amount of slop as the total movement should be. It is one of the quick attach type. I bought one of the allen key attach type, and have found in the past with various 'name brand' tools, drills, angle grinders etc that they usually use a 'dry' type grease which soon throws off the necessary parts and they run dry u
