Vacuum hose is clogged. Clog is too far down to dislodge with a broom handle. I tried a hanger from the other end and it will not budge. What can I do?

You could probably dislodge it with a hand operated sewer snake used to clean drains if you have one available.

We are trying to replace the belt on the bissell 89q9 model. We purchased belt 8 and got in onto the brush however the brush doesn't spin anymore. Even trying to turn it by hand doesn't work. One end of the brush has a round end to slide in (clear end piece); however the other has a rectangular end to slide in (black end) so we don't even know how it ever turned. Any suggestions?

Bissell 6595 problems with roller brush. I've had this happen with two of the same model. Each one didn't last more than seven months! First, it became loud when vacuuming, then there was a burning smell. When you try to replace the belt, you see that won't do any good because the fitted end of the brush is melted. The housing part the roller brush fits into is melted too. There's no place for the roller brush to fit into. I tried to upload pics, because I don't see how replacing the roller brus

I have some sort of object in the hose of my Epic 6500. I have tried reversing the hose and blowing out the foreighn piece of debeis but this has not worked. Is there a way to remove the plastic connector end to access this end of the hose? Or is there another solution to this problem?

By reversing it, I assume you plugged the hose into the exhaust blower on the top of the machine. If so, insert the other end into the intake and turn one the vacuum. This way the clog is also getting sucked at what should be the loose end.\0 ... Electrolux Epic 6500 Vacuum

The belt on my used Eureka Boss 5857 upright slips off the end of the motor shaft every time the vacuum is used. When I turn the brush roll slowly by hand, the belt walks toward the end of the shaft. It looks like there was a plastic projection from the base that snapped off, and maybe that plastic piece used to block the belt from falling off. Do I need to try to reconstruct that plastic piece, or is something else wrong?

Hello, On the 24 of June 2010 I purchased an Oregon Scientific Solar weather Station with indoor humidity gadget in Budapest Hungary. My wife's Viking 6690 smoked this last weekend. I opened up the end where the power switches are and the board had a 0.01 ufd capacitor the blew up. That would be easy enough to repair. The resistor is burnt beyond recognition and I am trying to find its value. Is there a schematic available for that board or a closeup picture of the board so that I could

Wondering if the head is plugged up because it makes a sound like air is escaping somewhere. I've replaced the original cloth bag with a comparable "O" paper bag from Sears. I tried to see if there was a clog in the hose by placing a broom handle in the hose to see if something would loosen. I also cleaned the filter and the air filter. It is not clear how to access the front spool on a Eureka 'Boss - smartvac' 4870K vacuum cleaner, when replacing the belt. Trying to force the flimsy black plastic lever attached to the shiny silver spool where the front end of the belt appears as if it should go, would cause breakage.
