How to replace an Electrolux silverado motor

\015 Need how in removing the motor.\015

Answers :

I can't say exactly how to do this, but when you can't find the screws to take something apart, they are usually hidden by something else. You did good looking under the bottom cover, but what you're looking for is elsewhere. If there is a seam or line around the middle where it looks like two halves fit together and you can't find anymore screws, use a flat blade screwdriver and GENTLY start to pry them apart to see if they start to separate. If it doesn't give easily, don't force it. Many times a cover will snap into place and then is held secure by screws.
\015\012The motor is attached to the fan, which has angled blades (like an airplane propeller).

I have an electrolux genesis upright vacuum that I bought used about 8 years ago. It has been A great vacuum the best I ever had. I thought the belt had come off so I took it in for repair. They called today and said that the brush rotor motor was bad and it would be around 148.00 dollars to repair. My question is could I buy the part and have my husband replace it or would it be too complicated. Can you still buy an electrolux vacuum comparable to this one and how much are they. My electrolux ambassador power wand quit working. I replaced the switch that shuts it off when the roller stops, but it wasn't the problem. The on/off switch is fine, the motor is fine. We have traced the problem to the wires inside the canister by opening the inside cover to the bag container. We see the power cords going into the canister but we're not able to get to anything. We can't find any screws to undo that would open it up in order to follow the wires deep into the canister. We've bypa

How hard is it to replace the motor brushes on a electrolux model 1590 central vac. do they just pull out or is there a proceedure and any special tools required

No it is very simple. You will probably need a pair of pliers, wire cutters and maybe some wire nuts. Remove the nuts that hold the motor down (some have springs that hold them down). Pull out the old motor, there will be three wires that go to it, ( ... Vacuums

Our unit is 7024A Electrolux Oxygen 3 - it seems to work great but suddenly, the head or 'power brush' or whatever it is called - has died. I checked by removing the hose and plugging it directly into the body, but it is still dead. Without that motorized head working, the vacuum is useless. Is it worth replacing? The unit is only about 1 year old and has seen light use only. Very frustrating, since it was the most expensive unit in the store:(

Replacement motor I purchase a replacement motor for a F5897-900 Hoover SteamVa Motor part # 43576197 or 27242051. The replacement motor has three electrical connectors + ground were as the orginal has two electrical connectors + ground. Do I ingnore the the thrid connector and hook up the wires to the same connectors as the orginal or do I have to do some rewiring.

The manual only show one wire from the motor going to the switch, the other going to the cord, then the ground wire. I would wire it the way your old motor was, could be that some models maybe were 2 speed and the other wire would be used for that. ... Vacuums
