I need to find a way to replace the attachment hose on this unit. the tube to spray the detergent snakes into the base next to the wheel and i'm unsure of how to take it apart without breaking it. is there a simple way to remove the wheel? do i need to do something special to replace that tube?

I also have a Hoover upright and I need to replace the electrical cord. I have dimantled the back, where the tools are stored, and the hose. I still cannot find the screws or whatever, to get to the area behind the cord, so I can replace it. I think I will have to take off the bottom too. Has anyone out there tried to do this? Motor/Fan does not run. I have removed and taken the top of the canister plastic motor housing apart and tested for power. I have power through the cord to the switch and power from the switch to the two wire terminals. I have not removed the motor. Looks like I will need special tools to take out the motor.
