Having problems with your Eureka Vacuums ?

Was vacuming floors and it just q2uit no power

Answers :

The most common thing would be a bad cord. It could also be a switch, the heat sensor or fuse(depending if you have one on that particular model). All of these can be tested with a continuity tester.
\015\012
\015\012It could also be the motor, but usually the motor tends to smoke, stink, and spark before it shuts off completely. Do do a quick check to see if it is the motor you can manually turn the brushroller(if the belt is still good) and that will rotate the motor a around and sometimes that will make it kick back on if it is the motor. Now that probably won't fix it. It might sound terrible, but you'll know what the problem was.
\015\012
\015\012Some vacuums have a reset switch on the machine that could have been tripped. They are usually on the back of the machine towards the bottom. Not all vacuums have these, but it's something to look for.
\015\012
\015\012If it overheated, you just need to let it cool off and try it again.
\015\012
\015\012I hope one of these suggestions helps. Good Luck

We have a Kenmore canister vacuum cleaner and the power in the floor component (rotating brush, etc) is no longer functioning. The vacuum is producing suction, but does not seem to be providing power to the floor component.

The problem could be with the power head itself or the hose providing the power. If you can turn the unit on from the handle, then its not the hose and you need to get a new power head.. ... Panasonic Kenmore Canister Vacuum Vacuum

Power nozzle on E-series won't start when cold unless the red 'reset' button is pressed multiple times while also holding the trigger to 'warm it up'...this is w/the power nozzle off the floor - no restriction on it turning. Once it's been running and then turned off the button must be pressed w/the trigger to get it to run - again w/the nozzle off the floor. It also seems to shut off too easily while vacuuming. I replaced the motor, which didn't fix it. Is the reset switch next on my list? T

HI, I have a Kenmore 25813 and it seems like there is an intermittent short. When I have the extension wand on and the power floor attachment on, when it rotate the wand the light cuts out and so does the power floor attachment, when I twist it back it comes on again. I don't have this problem if I remove the wand and just use the crevice tool with the hose. Any idea where the short might be and can I fix it myself? Thanks. Gary

My Discovery 4210 Roomba will run normally for about 20 minutes on a smooth, wooden floor. It then begins the following sequence: run forward a few inches, turn in a tight counter-clockwise circle a few revolutions, stop, power off a few seconds, power up, repeat cycle from forward run. The sequence can be repeated seemingly endlessly if I don't turn off the power manually. I've replaced the motor, and led revolution sensor system on the left drive wheel. I've blown the dust out of everywhere. A

There is a rubber valve on the top of Dyson DC14 all floors. When the vacum is locked in its upright position or the hand wand is used there is a whistling sound coming out of the valve. When the vac is used as a floor vac, it does not make the sound. Is this something that I can fix? Is there an obstruction somewhere that would be causing this sound? thank you.

I have a hoover upright bagless - turbo power 6500 The cord has been run over and I just noticed white stuff on the cord where it is tattered. My husband said he saw it 6 months ago and never said anything! Anyway, what is that white stuff in the cord? Is it dangerous in any way? Is it insulation? What is that usually made of? Just concerned since the cord is dragged over the floor and my little boy constantly has his hands and face on the floor. Thanks. Worried mom
