The belt broke and after putting on new belt I dicscovered the cylinder with the brushes attached wasn't turning. After I finally got the cylinder to turn it makes a very very loud noise and also now it doesn't pick up the dirt. The vacuum is less than a year old.

I have a DC14. About a wk ago it was making loud sound and bar stopped turning. i unclogged everything....now the suction works great. However, the bar still wont turn.
