Drywall Dust Damaging to Vacuum?

\015 Will drywall dust damage the Turbo III motor? Is there a separate path for dust that bypasses the motor as on some other expensive vacuums? I was reading a review on Amazon.com that claimed fine drywall dust can be harmfull to the vacuum. I have been using the 1 micron filter with paper bag. Thanks.\015

I removed the dirt from the bottom plastic container, but I also notice a sack or bag connected to the unit when I removed the bottom container and inside that sack there appears to be lots of dust. How do I access that and remove that dust without damaging the unit. I don't know how to do that

Unbeknownst to me, someone took the bag out of my Kenmore Progressive vacuum and failed to replace it. I have been vacuuming without a bag for months, and today the vacuum stopped sucking. When I opened up the front to replace the bag, tons of dirt and dust came pouring out. I thoroughly cleaned the vacuum, put in a new bag, but still no sucking power. Just dust coming from the rear vents where one of the filters is. Is the vacuum ruined, or is it a simple solution of buying a new filter?

Sounds like you need to buy a new motor. All that grit and dust will ruin a motor and I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did.\015\012This is where a vacuum that won't run without a bag would have been nice. (Aerus for one) ... Kenmore 31913 Progressive Direct Drive Bagged Upright Vacuum

My electrolux oxygen canister cuts on and off. I have to open and close the vacuum, or take the base of the hose off and then re-insert. I have to do all these things before it will start up again. I sometimes shake the hose around, then it will come back on. If I try to dust with the dust brush (like a lamp shade or shelf) and the suction pulls against the object, the vacuum goes off for awhile. The vacuum leaks dust around the joint between the bag and the vacuum. I unlatched the bag, removed and emptied it, and replaced it. However, the vacuum still leaks dust around the joint and the bag keeps working loose. How can I make sure that the bag is securely latched so that it does not leak or come loose? I have no manual. Thanks.

I purchased a brand new Eureka Pet vacuum, sorry don't know exact name but it the one that has the self cleaning duster on it. Last night I used the vacuum on my carpet, it was working fine until I accidently sucked up the corner of a scarf that was hanging off a couch. I shut the vacuum off, pulled out the scarf and and resumed vacuuming. Much to my dismay the suction on the vacuum had ceased. Can you tell me if there is a reset button on the vacuum? ** suction The best way to describe it is that when I was vacuuming I could see dust clouds at the front of the vacuum where the light is swirling around in the air. It was like it was blowing dust around instead of picking it up. I checked the tubing and found that it was clogged with some paper and hair ***** etc.... So I cleaned it out and tried it again and it still was not picking up properly. I had my husband take all the tubing apart to check for other clogging and there was none. When I

I just bought a foldaway hoover with wide path. I plugged it in and started to vacuum and dust flew everywhere. Walmart would not give me my money back so they gave me another hoover foldaway with the wide path. I thought this one might work. This one does the same thing. It blows dust out the sides and you can't vacuum with it. Any help would be great.
