Having problems with your Filter Queen Majestic Canister Vacuum ?

Suction problem Suction is about half the capacity it should be.

Answers :

First thing you need to do is replace the disc filter benieth the conical shaped shroud. also there is batting in the upper part of the vacuum tat should be replaced once every 4 years as well as it gets clogged with carbonfrom the motor. this increases the air flow through the vacuum keeping the motor cool and increasing your suction as well. the disc filter benieth the conical shroud should be replaced every 6 months under normal use and every 3 months under really dusty situations, and if vacuuming up fine talk powder every month. also check for a clog in the hose by hooking the hose up to the blower port on the top of the vacuum.

My Bissell ProHeat 2x is pouring water out of the bottom anytime it's turned on. I had it in the shop for no water, took it back again for the same problem, took it back again because it had no suction, finally took it apart and found the problem with the suction and fixed it myself. Worked fine for a day and now it is constantly leaking water, if it's turned on, and is useless for anything except for making a mess.

Took the unit apart and discovered my heater had small pinholes in the metal and they had put in silicone, instead of a gasket, which didn't seal. Poor suction I have a hoover hush s5627 vacuum purchased about 4 years ago from Costco. It's suction power isn't so good anymore. Suction Problem I took my unit to my work and used it, when I returned home it wouldn't suck up anything. I took the recovery take out and it has inward suction. Shouldn't that be outward, so it goes into the tank? It also blows out of the bottom by the brushes. I check the filter in the bottom and that is fine. Is it possible that it is somehow reversed the direction of the air flow (rotor running backwards)? I am perplexed. What am I missing?
