Hi There I have got a Kirby 2 HG vaccum cleaner which is around 20 years old now. It was going really well until last week when one of the capacitors which are connected to the brushes blew up. There is two capacitors one for each brush. One of them completely blew to bits and the other one is still intact. My question is are they the same size and where do I get a new one from. I know it is an old machine, but I would like to fix it and get it going again. Any tips???

I am trying to change an old fashioned fuse, (house lights), luckily had a spare one. Have put the 15amp fuse wire through the whole thing, and trying to describe if I've got it right is alitle awkward, this is what i've done, cut a piece of 15amp wire a little longer than the old one, then loking at it, taken it straight through and round to left as I'm looking at it, and put the screw in, and obviously done the same for other side. My problem is that I don't remember taking the screws out of w

This is not an electrolux problem, but I am hoping one of the experts can answer the question. I have a Sears air compressor that suddenly stopped working. After looking at how the motor case is put together, it appeared that it would essentially have to be destroyed to get it apart and into the motor. I received a new compressor for my birthday so I decided to tear into the old one to do some diagnosis. After getting into the case where I could see the motor/pump, I have discovered the prob

Last year my wife and I bought a new Dirt Devil Reaction All Surface vaccuum cleaner to replace the older Platinum Force. I have a Kirby Heritage II which normally works amazingly well, but it's not playing at all nicely today - and of course we have apartment inspections tomorrow. *dies* The belt broke today (as did the replacement belt, which I'd bought at the same time, so apparently the rubber was old), so I went over to Stark's to get some new ones - but it still won't cooperate.
