I have a Craftman 5hp snowthrower model 53688501 that will not start. It will fire with gas down sparkplug hole, but runs only untill that gas is burned up. Fuel is present at carb, but I noticed that there are two brass fittings on each side of the carb for vacume lines or something, and they have no lines connected to them. Did I lose the lines that should be connected? Or do I have some other problem. The unit is 4 years old and has the Briggs and Stratton eng model 9A413-0202-E1

This sounds like the carburetor needs disassembled and cleaned. This happens over time and the tiny orifices plug up. Usually from letting gas set in them for extended periods of time and it gums up. If you are not familiar with them, I would take ... Craftsman Vacuums

Low suction I have a Hoover central vacuum system. I've reset the fuse box, checked the fuses, all of the lines are clear and there are no holes for escaped air to travel out. The filter has been cleaned as well. The vac works well with high suction when hooked directly to the unit, however when using any of the indoor connections there is extremely low suction. The machine still turns on so I do not believe it is an electronic issue. I have troubleshooted the issue as best I could and would

The tension knob came off of the front of my sewing machine while I was sewing. I cannot figure out how to put it back on. I have the metal rod that fits into the back of the tension knob, but cannot figure out how to put it back into place. Keeps falling off

It sounds like your machine is the kind that has a knob with a 'set screw', a teeny tiny screw that tightens and holds the thing in place on the rod. Look for a small hole, probably on the bottom and look for a very small screw near the machine. ... Vacuums

ShopVac pump The waterhose connection is up high. The only way to get the water up to the level of the hose is to continually hold down the on button due to the automatic shut off after it fills to a certain level. On the bottom of the filter there is a hole. I am thinking there should be a small hose of some sort to put into that hole that would then lead up to the level of the water hose. Concept makes sense to me. But in the meantime, good old duct tape seems to have done the trick. Not exact

I have Optima, 12amp Eureka vacuum, Model 431, AXZ type and the extension hose for cleaning corners and edges --the plastic part that the attachments fit into has a piece broken off and tools don;t fit anymore. It looks like the hose attachment can be replaced--can it be and if so--where can I get a new hose attachment. It seems it is cheaply made of plastic and really shouldn't have broken a piece off.
