You can find replacement hoses on eBay for the price of $20 to $30. Search for "DC07 hose". That, obviously is the easiest route. But, you can repair the old hose if the damage is near one end or the other of the hose. Damage in the middle of the hose will not leave enough length for effective use and thus buying a new hose makes since.

\015\012If you decide to repair the hose, you will need to use wire cutters to snip the wire in the hose below a point where the damage is and then use scissors or an exacto knife to trim away excess plasitic hose above the snip.
\015\012
\015\012Remove the damaged hose section from the fitting that was cut off. You may need to use pliars to pull on the wire until it comes out. Check the inside of the fitting and remove any remaining debris so you have all of the grooves as clean as possible. The inside of the fitting is threaded like a nut and "screws" onto the hose. You will need some form of adhesive to help keep the hose attached to the fitting. I use silicone caulk for that purpose. Squeeze some into the threads on the fitting, screw the hose on and allow to dry over night.

\015\012Hope this helps.

I have a dyson DC07. The hose has come away from the hose end and the end is stuck in the top end of the wand as it sits in the upright position on the machine. Any ideas as how to get it out? If I can get it out it might just be a new hose. If not, it's a new hose and wand.t

DC07 DYSON REPLACEMENT HOSE. HOW DO YOU REMOVE IT FROM THE HANDLE. I have a kenmore whispertone 8540 canister vaccum. The electrical wires (3) to power the beater are embedded in the hose, in a spiral fashion. The yokes that hold the hose on both ends (and attach to the beater on one end and the unit on the other) have no screws or pressure latches; i don't want to use brute force as i may damage the attachment device inside the yoke. If someone can tell me the trick to get these yokes off each
