7431-900 brushes don't spin/cover removal

\015 How do you remove the bottom cover to troubleshoot non spinning brushes?\015

Answers :

Hey, I just fixed mine!! check out this fix posted previously. The filter mentioned is a wire mesh filter & I used a flathead screw driver to scrape out the dog hair.

\015\012"Turned out to be so simple. Look down at the machine. On the right is the green spiral to indicate the wheels are turning. Right above that is a cover that can be popped off to allow access to a small filter. If the filter is blocked, air intake is blocked, and the brushes will not turn. Mine was clogged. Took the 2 seconds to remove the material and the machine was fixed!"

Dyson dc07 The rotating brush on the bottom of my vacuum was filled with strings. I removed the brush by undoing all yellow plastic screws from plate. Removed all strings and replaced as best I could and it was hard to get the brush back in and the belt around it. I dont have my manual but it fits so it should be correct....? Right? No, not true, because when I turn it on and try to and vacuum (by lower canister with foot release) it makes that terrible ratching sound). Please help

I am replacing drive belt on Eureka 4870 upright. Before installing I removed bottomplate and was cleaning out accumulated lint, hair and grit. Found a pair of identical (reciprocal) felt gaskets sucurely inserted above and below the roller brush, and one small loose piece of felt approximately 1/3 inch wide by 1 inch long that came out as I was pulling out debris. Our unit is 7024A Electrolux Oxygen 3 - it seems to work great but suddenly, the head or 'power brush' or whatever it is called - has died. I checked by removing the hose and plugging it directly into the body, but it is still dead. Without that motorized head working, the vacuum is useless. Is it worth replacing? The unit is only about 1 year old and has seen light use only. Very frustrating, since it was the most expensive unit in the store:(

I have a DC07 and the brush wasn't rotating and I had no suction at the brush but perfect suction through the hose. I noticed a large build up of dog hair around the brush so I took off the cover plate and removed all the hair, cleaned inside the floor/brush housing and cleaned out the hose. I also cleaned the filter and removed the other air access cover and made sure that they were clear. I put everything back and the brush still doesn't turn and there is still no suction through the bottom
