Having problems with your Hoover Floormate H3000 Upright Wet/Dry Vacuum ?

Spin brush will not spin. local repair man said one gear stripped and motor would need replacement. is this correct??

Answers :

There is a plastic rod that sticks out of the back of the spin brush, this makes all of the brushes rotate. The motor would need to be replaced if it was not turning on anymore. this doesn't sound right...?

I think it is just a broken piece of plastic on the block brush which will need to be replaced.

You can find a schematic and the parts you need on this link

Kirby Vacuum Hi Bruce, In my opinion, yes the Kirby would be worth it, as long as you are not replacing the motor. The switch would be the most expensive part besides the motor that would need to be replaced. The switch costs USD 49.99, the cord is roughly $39.99, and the carbon brushes are $29.99. I can easily walk you through any of these repairs should you need help. Kirby's are great vacuum cleaners, that usually last 30+ years. Brand new these machines sell in the US for $1600 or more,

I have a Eureka 4870GZ. It turns on, but the brush roller doesn't move. The belt looks fine. I do have an extra belt and would try replacing the old belt, but I can't get the old one off the motor shaft or the new one on. I called Eureka customer service. The lady said there's supposed to be a small space between the motor shaft and the outside edge of the vacuum where I can slip the old belt off and the new one on. I don't see it. It looks like the motor shaft goes into a recessed place in the

The bar has been cleaned and there are no worn or damaged parts so I conclude that the clutch at the motor end of the belt needs to be replaced. I was changing a light bulb with one of those metal extension rods that unscrew and screw back in the replacement bulbs. It evidently didn't seat correctly and pulled off the bulb and created a quick "poof" type electrical short. I have switched out that bad bulb with a new one and can't get either the fan or lights to work. There doesn't appear to be a reset switch. I also swirched out the wall switch to see if that would make a difference and it does not. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreci
