Having problems with your Hoover SteamVac Carpet/Upholstery Deep Cleaner Vacuum ?

Agitator belt failed in my Hoover F5853-900 Steam Vacuum Cleaner. But can not remove bottom Cover .. have removed top cover and two screws from the bottom Cover. The smaller Cover is glued to the large Bottom Cover. Need help.

Hello,

Unscrew the plate. check if there is any screws at the bottom, if none, exact little pressure to pull out the bottom cover. At this \015\012point you should be able to see the broken drive belt along with the two\015\012 drive bars. Remove any debris from the vacuum head. Untangle any long threads \015\012wrapped around the beater bar. These only put more strain on a drive \015\012belt, so keep this area of your vacuum clean.\015\012Slip the new drive belt on the beater bar. Connect it with the drive \015\012shaft. You may need to use the screwdriver to stretch the belt enough to\015\012 get it over the two shafts.
Make sure the beater bar turns freely with the new drive belt attached. Put the plate back over the beater bars.

Take care.
