Beater brushes not turning on the wife's Hoover Steam Vac model F5905-900. Found one prior ''solution'' stating that it sounded like the belt was bad. That was my original thought, but on checking schematics and trying to find part numbers at Sears Parts Direct and at Hoover, it does not appear the F5905-900 steam vac HAS any belts to begin with. What's next??

This one I can tell you about from personal experience with that generation Hoover Steam Vac. After using it about 7 or 8 times my brushes stopped turning also.I disassembled it (kind of like disassembling a Chinese puzzle box) and found ... Hoover F5905-900 Vacuum

I put water & cleaner in top tank. That's all I know to do. Do I put any water in bottom tank? I figured not, since that is probably where the water goes when sucked up by vac. Do I leave lid on bottom tank? I usually use a commercial cleaner, and this is very different. I need to know NOW, as I must return it to her today, and I'm

I own a hoover steam vac model f5915-900 and i currently have two problems. 1. the brushes are spinning at a much slower speed. 2. the steam vac is not picking up the water it leaves on the carpet. Please help Josie

I have a new Hoover Dual V steam vac that I bought from a neighbor who only used it once. I have only used it once since then and it worked great. This time, because I am pregnant, I bought some non-toxic cleaner that was much thicker than the very watery Hoover soap. This vac has a wash option and a rinse option. The rinse option works (sprays and sucks properly), but the wash cycle doesn't at all-neither soap nor water comes out. Nothing comes out, but it still sucks. I took everything o

Can't find info for hoover steam vac spin scrub model # F5905900 on Hoover website, doesn't show that model number at all...looking for mesh (kind of cone/cylinder shape) that goes in dirty water tank (I think) and also the tool (wand) that slides into front to clean it out. It doesn't pull all the water up very well and the filter has been missing for some time. I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not. As far as the wand tool goes, I have taken the cover off at this point and

The cleanout tool is part # 43514001. The filter is # 90001398. Be sure to leave a 1/2 inch gap between the top of the filter and the bottom of the lid. If you need a manual, try model F5914-900 0r F5912-900 on Hoover.com ... Hoover SteamVac F5914-900 SpinScrub Upright Vacuum

Hoover F6025900 Steam Vac Widepath LS, I own this steam vac and I found bits of rubber under the machine when I turned it on, smelled like burned rubber from a belt? Can you please tell me if there is a belt on this carpet cleaner and if so, how to access the belt? I have taken out some screws and still cant get to the belt? Thanks

Well there is no belt, and not sure what the rubber would be from, everything is plastic or metal. Unless it is really an electrical smell, which means the motor is going bad.\015\012\015\012 ... Hoover Vacuums

I have a hoover f5861-900 steam vac. the trigger mechanism seem to not work anymore. Water dribbles out without using the trigger.
