Have Dyson DC 14. When tilt to vacuum, the handle and coiled hose comes away from the unit. The problem started when the little purple ridged curved part on front of vacuum cleaner right below handle came loose and a spring fell out from somewhere--don't know where. I pushed on the purple ridge part and it snapped back on. Now, can't get it loose again, don't know where the spring goes, and handle still comes loose from vacuum.

I'm not positive whether or not this is the wand handle because there are several versions of the DC14. However the device the locks and unlocks the wand in place is pretty similar between all the versions. The first picture is the wand re ... Dyson DC14 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

Regarding my Kirby Generation 3 upright vacuum cleaner: the handle does not lock into place, but rather falls to the floor. Any thoughts on how to get it to stay in place? Also, I lost my owner/operator manual. Can I download one to learn how to clean and maintain the vacuum?

The plate that catches the handle to lock has a hidden spring behind that plate.I would leave it alone for the unit is pressed together. Used ones are found most everyday on Ebay. The owners manual maybe found on this website\015\012\015\ ... Kirby Generation 3 Bagged Upright Vacuum

My older Dyson DC14 (the purple one) early model with a clutch on the beater bar belt needs a clutch replacement. The bar has been cleaned and there are no worn or damaged parts so I conclude that the clutch at the motor end of the belt needs to be replaced. I can find the part online but no instructions on how to disassemble the vacuum to get to and replace it. Dysons only advice is to give me the address and phone of the nearest service center. Can you help me?

After tilting the bag sideways, there are two screws holding the housing visible, but there seems to be a thrid fixing inside the point where the handle shaft is attached - is the handle simply clipped in place? My DC-25 will not return to the upright position. I emailed Dyson support and the response was: "The DC25 stabilizer wheels will not lock into position if the “spokes” on the red pedal are not seated correctly." I agree with that assessment, but cannot figure out how to get the spokes on the red pedal to seat correctly. The manual is useless for this problem since that part of the vacuum cleaner came already assembled, so the manual does not address it. Help.

It sounds like the undercarriage unit has failed. It is a common problem on ball models. The DC25 is a recent model so would still be under Dyson's 5 year guarantee. Get them out to it. ... Dyson DC15 All Floors - The Ball Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum
