My electrolux ambassador power wand quit working. I replaced the switch that shuts it off when the roller stops, but it wasn't the problem. The on/off switch is fine, the motor is fine. We have traced the problem to the wires inside the canister by opening the inside cover to the bag container. We see the power cords going into the canister but we're not able to get to anything. We can't find any screws to undo that would open it up in order to follow the wires deep into the canister. We've bypa

Hoover U5344-950 My Hoover vacuum is a nightmare! I have had nothing but problems with it since day 1. The powerhead stops working if you try to lower the handle to vacuum. I took it in to be serviced and was told it sat on the shelf for too long in the store and it warped the belt...so it was replaced. Got it home, it worked the first time I tried it, then went right back to no powerhead working and as a bonus it is giving off a nasty smell like it is going to blow up! It now gets really hot to

I have an easy flo vacuum model # 199C and it won't shut off. It started out as an intermitent problem but now will not shut off when the hose is unplugged, nor when the off/on switch on the main unit is shut off. the only way to get the motor to stop running is to unplug the unit. Any ideas?

Just had this same problem. I unplugged the low voltage signal wires and the vacuum stayed on. Thus eliminating the possibility of the signal wires shorting out somewhere. I'm not really sure which wire(s) were causing the problem. But when I disasse ... Easy Flo EF1500 Vacuum

I fear the motor has failed on my Electrolux Oxygen EL6988D. Just six months after the warranty expired, I was vacuuming when it suddenly stopped. There was no blockage in the tube and it wasn't working hard or long . . . it just stopped. I looked around the Internet and it appeared that many similar Electrolux units have a fuse. I hoped my problem might just be a blown fuse, so I took the machine apart. There are two small printed circuit boards, but no fuse. There is an in-line

Hi,\015\012\015\012I don't think you need a new motor, but please stop testing the machine with live power. It's dangerous and unnecessary. This is not an electrolux problem, but I am hoping one of the experts can answer the question. I have a Sears air compressor that suddenly stopped working. After looking at how the motor case is put together, it appeared that it would essentially have to be destroyed to get it apart and into the motor. I received a new compressor for my birthday so I decided to tear into the old one to do some diagnosis. After getting into the case where I could see the motor/pump, I have discovered the prob

My vacuum just stopped working, so I don't know what the problem is. I used it in the kitchen to vacuum the hard wood floor. I turned it off, and a few minutes later, turned it back on to finish vaccuuming the kitchen floor. It just would not turn on. I had not unplugged it or did anything to it. I then tried to see if it would work in another plug, and no luck. I'm trying to figure out if it can be fixed or if I need to look for a new vacuum.

Hello! I have a problem with my Tefal Sensio scales. They are now probably around four years' old and have been in perfect working order up to now. Well, I had some problems before - the moment I'd step on them, instead of going into "calculating mode" as they usually do, they would show the number 92 straight away and then the display would change into some strange symbols (please don't laugh here :-) - my weight in kg is 55, my husband's around 80 and each of us gets 92 reading). Bisell Healthy home vacuum stopped working. The troubleshooting guide said there could be a problem in the connection at the handle. None of the phillips screwdrivers we have seem to work in removing the screw that holds the handle to the vacuum. What size phillips screw driver should we be using? If the screw is stripped, how can we get it out to replace it since it is not easily accessible in the handle?

You should use a p2 size phillips. there is only one screw right in the center that holds the handle assy on. frequently that screw backs out and allows the handle to slide back and loose connection. make sure the handle is tightly pressed in and the ... Vacuums

I have a new (couple of months) Cuisinart Espresso Maker EM-100C. One has to turn on the power button on the front in order for the unit to heat the water. Folks, My wife and I own a three-year-old Hoover U6434-900 self-propelled "Wind Tunnel" upright vacuum cleaner. The problem is that, even on the highest setting (front-end as high as possible), it gets bogged-down in even shallow pile carpet to the point that the brush stops. I've cleaned the machine thoroughly, pulling hair, thread, dental floss and such from the brush (and everywhere else), including unscrewing the brush end caps and pulling out the cat hair mats which formed in there.
