Brush Roll belt stops turning durring vacuuming on WindTunnel self-propelled, v belt is a little loose with handle down. Tensioning roll is engaged OK, but fully at the end of its travel. Replaced belts flat and v, but still stops turning even on high carpet setting when vacuuming. Carpet setting and height adjustment appears to be working OK, roll is clean and turns easily when out. Also turns easily until it engages the carpet. Self propel function works just fine.

G-5 Kirby self-propel works intermitently. The handle must be jiggled until it engages forward. The same for reverse. Once underway it will continue indefinitely until the need to change direction. Jiggle go forward, jiggle go in reverse. It seems as though it helps to push the handle at an angle to the left depressing the switch on the left side at the base of the vacuum head.

Sounds like a loose wire, the wire is connected to the handle, you may be able to fix this yourself but be careful you can void the warranty by doing it your self. (most people make the problem worse) remember your kirby has a lifetime warranty (limi ... Kirby Ultimate G Bagged Upright Vacuum

Hoover U6637-960 the self propel is not not working. When lowering the handle it acts like it would like to work but the roller will not turn. appears to be something to do with the self propel part of the handle . took the screws aout but can not get it apart. This vac has 2 belts. If both self propel and roller not spinning then most likely it is the wide flat belt broken or off. 4 screws on the bottom should gain you access to the belt area. another issue for this model series is a worn pulley on the rol ... Roomba Discovery My Roomba Discovery seems to work fine, mechanically, but it no longer seems to collect any dust. (The collection bin remains empty after the Roomba has circulated around the floor for quite a while). The brush has been replaced and spins normally. Does anyone have an idea why this machine's vacuum function no longer seems to work? I would appreciate any feedback. Jeremy
