Self Propel doesn't work - via other expert advice here for other models of Hoover - I'm thinking it is the actuator that needs to be replaced as I can see the cable does not connect to anything on the bottom. My problem is - I can't get the cover off. Been trying for a couple of hours. I removed every screw I can seem to find but something is hold it down. I also am wondering if/when I do eventually get the cover off, would I need to replace the cable when I replac

I want to open a Hoover S3825 Elite Cyclonic Vacuum to see if I can repair or replace the cord reel assembly. Currently the reel slowly draws the cord back into the canister once it is pulled out. I found the mounting screws under the rear wheels once I removed the hub but I do not know how to remove the rear wheels, everything is plastic. I am getting very little suction from the motor. The hose is clear, the bag new. When I open the bag cover, plug the hose in and turn the vacuum on, there is next to no suction from the motor. Your problem is probably is you don't have a proper seal in your chasis. A vacuum has to be sealed tight or the air will leak out and the seal broken. Check around the whole body after the bag is in and check for any airflow noise. I could help more ... Vacuums
