If it goes in just at the bottom of the handle, take off the handle, then remove the tool holder, then you can replace the cord. If it goes in near the bottom, then you will have to remove the motor cover and light to get to the connecting wires.

My 8 yr old kenmore vacuum works well - however the hose has worn under the handle where there is a hole (resulting in decreased suction power). I'd like instructions on opening the handle and bypassing the worn piece of tubing rather than replacing it for $129. Some of the handle screws remove easily but the last one doesn't loosen easily.

Hi,Have you tried spraying the stubborn screw with WD40 and let it soaked for a while? Other than these screws holding the handle together, there would no other way of opening it up. Hope this be of initial help/idea. ... Kenmore Vacuums

I have an old Friedland door chime (approx 30 years old). It has 5 terminal screws to connect wires. They are labeled 0-4. I removed the chime during remodeling and would really like to reuse it. I did not label the wires and where they connect when I removed it. I can't figure out how to wire it. I contacted Friedman and they were of no help... didn't have information on chimes that old. Can you help with how to wire the chime given it has five connections screws with no labels other t

I am trying to change an old fashioned fuse, (house lights), luckily had a spare one. Have put the 15amp fuse wire through the whole thing, and trying to describe if I've got it right is alitle awkward, this is what i've done, cut a piece of 15amp wire a little longer than the old one, then loking at it, taken it straight through and round to left as I'm looking at it, and put the screw in, and obviously done the same for other side. My problem is that I don't remember taking the screws out of w

My first proheat lasted four years so I bought a new one. After I used my Pro Heat for only the fourth time my first issue occured, the gear on the pump that runs the brushes came off, so I had the one from my old proheat, I just changed the gear spindle that is screwed to the pump and fixed that problem but now it will not pump water. That is why I bought a new proheat, I could not get the old one to pump even after a new pump and made sure all lines were not cloged.

I recently took out a stand mixer that is probably over 50 years old. It belonged to my mother and I wanted to use it. It probably hasn't been used in at least 10 years. With some effort, I removed one of the beaters but cannot remove the other one nor can I even budge it. I have used WD-40 but it's not helping. It's a Westinghouse product. Any ideas? Thanks.

The removable filter at the front is cleaned regularly, and is not clogged. However, the machine appears to be suffering from being clogged by dust, as it has started to make a high pitched noise, and I fear it may burn out. I can see some dust inside the front panel but cannot see how to remove the front to clean it out. (NB. I have located two screws - one on either side - but cannot see how to proceed further.) Please help! Thank you.
