This has no belts, there are 4 small brush rolls, if the ends are bad and not turning then you will need to replace them. The newer ones have metal instead of plastic so are better. Should be able to buy the brush rolls at a local shop or from http://vacuumsuperstore.com/U8120.html

I have a Hoover Windtunnel U5472-940. The belt broke so I replaced it. Immediately the next one broke. The belt goes around the brush cylinder and a metal post. I think there is supposed to be something on the metal post to protect the belt but I can't tell from the owner's manual. I also can't find out if this is a part that can be replaced. I've only had the vacuum about a year and a half. Thanks

Hoover Windtunnel U5750-900 Agitator brush is weak. It turns fine if I tilt the vacuum back, but it slows to almost 1/4 speed when it touches carpet, even on the highest carpet setting. I've replaced the agitator belt twice. The brush used to turn powerfully even on the lowest (Hard Floor) setting. Ideas? I should probably lube the agitator brush ball bearings, and re-check the belt, but, other than that, I'm stumped.

I have an old Hoover vacuum model # U5035-930. The belt broke and I tried replacing the belt myself. I couldn't stretch the belt to attach it to the motor pully. It was belt # 38525-027 M6. Which I got from the previous owner. I took it to a vacuum repair place and he replaced it with belt # 38528-027 J4. I cannot find this belt anywhere.

I have 2 Hoover Wind Tunnel-self propelled bagged vacuums-U6433-900 model. The roller bar does not agitate, the self propelled feature does not work and, in general, the vacuum is not performing well. My Hoover Windtunnel Ultra U6425-900 began shutting off after a few minutes of vacuuming. The time interval became shorter and shorter. If I leave it sit a while, it will start again. This does not happen when I used the attachments - only with the floor brushes. The switch has recently been replaced and the whole vacuum serviced by a Hoover dealer about a year ago. I have been told by a local repair shop(not a Hoover dealer) that it is the motor, there is nothing to do other than replace t
