Having problems with your Hoover UH70210 Bagless Upright Vacuum ?

My brand-new Hoover T-Series Windtunnel is making a knocking noise as the belt spins and the roller clutch doesn't disengage as far as it should. Its worrisome only because I just pulled it out of the box and as far as I know there aren't any adjustments that should be made. Or can be made for that matter. Any suggestions?

You will probably have to replace the cord winding mechanism. I have never had any luck trying to repair one. My dyson DC17 will not turn on unless the handle is pulled back.(into the vacuuming position) The attachment hose will not work at all (0 suction thru it). I've checked the hose and made sure there is no obstruction. Any ideas?

Not sure if I can help, but I'll try. The DC17 has two motors: the vacuum motor and a separate motor for the brush bar. It is normal that the brush motor works only when the handle is pulled back in the vacuuming position - that's the way it's made. ... Dyson DC17 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

Poor design Our Shark was bought in Dec. This morning my husband started it up and while doing the steps the handle snapped off at the plunger site.. It is sooooo poorly made that it was only attached by a small plastic weld. The design is definately flawed and for the cost of the machine it is disgusting. As far as we can see, there is no repair that can be done.
