Folks, My wife and I own a three-year-old Hoover U6434-900 self-propelled "Wind Tunnel" upright vacuum cleaner. The problem is that, even on the highest setting (front-end as high as possible), it gets bogged-down in even shallow pile carpet to the point that the brush stops. I've cleaned the machine thoroughly, pulling hair, thread, dental floss and such from the brush (and everywhere else), including unscrewing the brush end caps and pulling out the cat hair mats which formed in there.

Henry brushes seem to catch in the carpet when pulling-will the brushes soften and make it easier to use as it makes the head bounce of the floor a bit when pulling making it harder work to vacuum?

Brushes won't turn on the bissell proheat 2X steam cleaner-I don't have the manual to see if there is a button I am not pushing to turn on the brushes. Also, do you put the clean water in the "bladder" in the tank? Sorry I am so dumb-this cleaner was given to me with no manual and I can't figure it out. There is a small tank on the bottom at the back of the machine, that says "formula here" and I don't know if that is where the cleaner goes or what that is for. The machine turns on just fine

Hoover WindTunnel S3765. The motor spins and the belt turns when I turn the brushes on, and the brushes will spin. The problem is that when I do this on carpet, the brushes stop spinning. As soon as I pull the "head" off the carpet, the brushes spin again. It's almost as if the vacuum suction is too great. I took the head apart and watched the motor turn the metal spindle that the belt rests on, and the belt turns as well.

My Kirby shampooer - G4 - hardly used any water from the tank and no suds at all. Pet hair did blow out of the small slotted holes in the tray as I moved the shampooer back and forth, but the carpet was basically dry. I did vacuum before shampooing, so the brush part seemed to work great during shampooing, but no water! Last night as I was vacuuming, I noticed that the belt stop indicator light was on. I pulled out the hair that had gotten tangled around the brush in hopes of solving the problem. It didn't change things. I then unscrewed the entire bottom piece to take out the brush roller. I removed hair from the end piece of the brush roller and reattached the belt; however, I cannot figure out where the microchip is supposed to go so that I can reassemble the base piece by screwing it back together. Dyson dc07 The rotating brush on the bottom of my vacuum was filled with strings. I removed the brush by undoing all yellow plastic screws from plate. We own a dirt devil model 088600, and are experiencing a problem with the belt wearing away a section between where the belt connects to the brushes and the motor. There is a lot of plastic/rubber residue coming out from the vacuum. We have tried new belts only to find the same problem occurs.
