Having problems with your Hoover Vacuums ?

I have a Hoover carpet cleaner F5358-900 It no longer sucks up the water. I have taken it apart from the top down and can find no real problem. (Although I am a woman!) The spray works and the scrubbing heads go around. Should I try to disassemble it further--I will need a special screw driver? Thanks, Jana

I have a Wertheim 4808 Barrel vacuum cleaner that has suddenly stopped working. I believe that there is a problem with the electrical cord connection inside. I have tried unsuccessfully to open the compartment that leads to that area. One side unscrewed with a phillips head screwdriver but the other side seems to have a different type of fixing screw that I am unable to undo. It is awkward to get at and in a deep slot and the head of the fixing screw? is not visible.

My Bissel proheat carpet cleaner wont spray out of the bottom or the spray handle. I took of the scrub brushes and off and cleaned out the bottom of the machine including popping out the two spray heads to make sure they were not clogged. Put it back together. Still no spray! I also did the turn off, remove fluid containers, replace, turn on for one minute to prime the pump, and still so spray...does this mean my pump is not working?

My steam pocket mop seems clogged. Steam does not come out of the mop head. The clog appears to be in the rectangular mop head. The triangular head still works fine. I've tried soaking it in hot water and soaking it with cleaning solutions. They have not worked. If I blow into the connection piece, no air goes through. That's what leads me to believe there is a clog. If you can help, please do. I like the product and haven't been able to use it for awhile because of this. Thanks.

I had the same issue with the rectangular mop and corrected it by disassembling the tube from the rectangular piece. I have used my Steam Vac for carpeting, but until today, had never tried cleaning upholstery with the spin-scrub brush. I spent a miserable afternoon trying to control the spray, which seemed to go everywhere AROUND the furniture, but not ON the furniture! Additionally, I never did get the water into the recovery tank, despite many attempts to connect and re-connect the hoses and recovery tank/lid.

I can sympathize. My vac came with two handheld attachments. I have better luck with the handheld attachment that doesn't have the spin-scrub pads. DZ9080 IRON IS NOT VERY OLD, BUT HAS HEATING AND STEAMING PROBLEMS. IT MAY BE ALL HEATING RELATED! MY WIFE WILL SOMETIMES JUST LEAVE IT "ON" FOR TWO HOURS AND THEN IT WILL START STEAMING AGAIN. I CANNOT MAKE SENSE OF THE HEATING INDICATORS; SOMETIMES IT WILL STAY GREEN NO MATTER WHERE YOU SET THE DIAL ---- AND IT DOES NOT FEEL HOT! WHEN I TRIED IT AGAIN TODAY, THE SHOT-OF-STEAM WORKED FOR A WHILE (AND THE SPRAY WORKED), BUT THEN ALL IT WOULD DO IS DRIP WATER AT THE TIP WHEN TIPPED DOWNWARD.

I couldn't find any warranty information on this iron, but I suspect that the heating element either has a faulty connection or part of it has cracked, making contact at time, but poor contact at other times. The unit will have to be taken apart an ... Rowenta Vacuums
