I have a Hoover steam vac spin scrub and with the attachment the water sprays out continuously reagardless if I press the button.

I have a hoover f5861-900 steam vac. the trigger mechanism seem to not work anymore. Water dribbles out without using the trigger. Taking the water tank out I can see the rod very slightly moving on the diaphragm. I removed the top part of the vac to hopefully reset the rod connection. But, didn't make any difference.
