My handle won't go back up after an extended vacuuming session during which I used the hand/broom/animal hair attachments several times, thus pulling the hose out/putting it back in, starting/ stopping, and suddenly no matter what I do short of forcing it (and even if I try forcing it a bit) I can't raise the handle to put it away.

I have a Necchi LYdia 3 machine type 544 The motor was overheating and I removed the bottom cover and examined the motor .It looked fine and ran well. It worked OK for a time and then got hot.I was able to partially remove the motor for inspection.I found that the cooling impeller was not secured to the shaft,I tightened the set screws and reinstalled the motor. In process of getting the drive belt back on I turned the wheel that extends out of the case to index the screw that attaches the bobb

I pulled out the hose assembly from the back of the sweeper to clean it out. When I did so, there was a red/black wire that was attached to a small metal plate on the top of the assembly. What is the purpose of this? Does it need to be soldered back on?

I have a Hoover U5111-900 that, every time I attempt to use it, shoots everything it should be sucking up, back out toward my feet. I have replaced the bag, pulled out lots of animal hair and such from the area behind the bag, and taken off all parts able to be removed without a screwdriver and pulled out all chunks of hair, dirt, etc. It still keeps shooting everything it should **** up out the back. My model F5906-900 --- problem is the brushes have stoped working... Last time I used by Hoover it worked fine, took brushes out to clean them and now when I try to put them back in they won't snap into place and lock. Dog hair gets caught all the time in the belt drive spool, is there a fix for this other than having to pull it out all the time by hand? I have replaced the belt and the brush but this hasnt solved the problem and the belt moves so slowly and I get the loud whining/grinding noise too.

I have a DC14 with a bad belt to the roller.How do I remove the clutch that operates the belt to turn the roller. For the first time, I tried using my Kirby Sentria shampoo attachment. I've lost the manual but found instructions online for making the swap from regular vac to shampoo-er and got it all assembled. The foam laid down just fine, however, when I run the vac back over the foam to pick it up, there is not a stitch of water showing up in the tray.
