Having problems with your iRobot Roomba 4210 Bagless Robotic Vacuum ?
My robot will not charge. Tried multiple resets and new battery from irobot.com (both suggested by Irobot customer service) but got nowhere. The vacuum did work for a short time (until the new partially charged battery ran out). If I bypass the internal charging circuits and charge directly from the charger (with jumpers)
the robot seems to work fine. Unfortunatey, there is no mechanism to turn off the charge cycle, so this is not practical.
Replace the battery charger

I purchased a brand new P113 Ryobi charger about 2 years ago. It has never worked. If I put a P104 battery in for a charge, it looks like it works correctly. I push the battery tester on the battery itself, and it says full charge, but when I go to use the bateery, it dies right away. I have tried three new P104 batteries. The batteries charge on my charger at work with no problem. The funny thing is, I don't need a battery in the charger and the charger does the same thing, It runs the test
If you have your receipt, check with Ryobi to see if it is still under warranty. It comes with either a 2 or 3 year warranty, depending on when it was purchased. If it is still covered, get it replaced/repaired. If it is not, buy the P117 charger. $3 ... Ryobi P113 18 Volt One Charger 140501001
Battery charge I just purchased a new battery pack insert for my Roomba, Replacement was a breeze and it now works great. My question is; The last battery I bought ( not from you) was a full cased roomba battery pack that didn't last a year. Roomba says leave the r Roomba charging all the time so it's ready when you need it, and that's nice but I feel that leaving it charging like that it will kill the battery faster as it is always warm to the touch. These battery's should last at least 5
Dave you are correct. You should never over-charge anything like a Roomba, Cel Phone, etc. That will kill a bettery very quickly. ... Roomba Robotic Floor Bagless Vacuum

I have a Roomba Discovery. In the past, I had to replace the charging dock. Then the battery died so I did not use it for two years. I finally bought a new battery and used the Roomba. It worked great. It did not find the docking station, and died. I have been charging it and the red light pulsates, but after 16 hours, it still is not charged...any ideas?

I have the IROBOT discovery that just got a new battery. IT ran great! As the battery was dying, I put it into the home base. The "brick" is green, the home base has two green lights and the on/off pulsates red. It never charges though. Eventually the red light stops pulsating. Customer service said to reset it, clean the metal, and nothing works! They told me to just buy another one. The problem is that I know it was working! Help!
The best thing that you can do is take the charger into somewhere that can test it for the proper output voltage. It should be somewhere very close to 22 volts with no fluctuation. The charger is the easiest thing to test in this case. ... iRobot Roomba 4210 Bagless Robotic Vacuum
I just bought a westinghouse unplugged vacuum cleaner.( It is new) The design is awesome, and when it works it works great . But it has very short battery life. 1 battery lasts only about 5 minutes, and the other is even less. I did all the instructions told me as far as conditioning and charge yet I still do not get a very solid amount of vacuuming time. Is there any thing I can do?
Usually a short battery life means bad battries that aren't holding its charge. Being new I would think it would have a year's warranty on it. Find out who is the closest warranty shop and have them fix it. ... Vacuums

I installed a new battery in my Roomba 540. It charges and runs directly with power cord but will not charge on dock. When I push the dock button, it acts like it "sees" the dock and approaches it and even slides on, but then gets back off again and just keeps going back and forth until I turn it off.

I have a new scoba (irobot) the battery is charged the tanks were fillied and every time i hit the power button and then clean the machines "check the tank" light came on. i have done all the proper instruction checks an i have done all the trouble shooting section. the machine will only work (and that is for 5 minutes drying its head) when i hit power and the clean button twice. so obviously the machine is somewhat working

The battery will not charge in the sweeper. I can remove the battery and wire it to the power supply for charging and it will charge up and run the sweeper. So the power supply and the battery are both good. Obviously there is a circuit failure in the on board charging control. Anyone know a fix or a likely faulty component? I bought a roomba pro elite robotic floorvac at a tag sale from an elderly couple who apparently used this vac very little as it was very clean and she had never even used it enough to use the extra filters that came with it, she said it was just too much for her to bend down to work it or move it. i suspect she stored it but kept the battery in it. after charging it, it powers up and sings a little tune, but then shuts off. i cleaned everything, including the sensors. it still shuts off, do you

I have a Howard Miller Westminster Chime Mantle Clock. It has always worked fine. It stopped working and my husband took the battery out to change it and when the new battery is in it will not work. I am currently unsure, it my Dyson DC16 battery is charging as it should. I read all the posts about Powersupply voltage of 28V and defective PCBs. I now need to know from someone who's DC16 is working properly what voltage the battery should have when it is charged. I currently only measure 24.2V in mine. Supposing there are 6 batteries in there with nominal 3.6 voltage each, which would add up to 21.6, I supposed one could charge with up to 25.2V (4.2*6) and once reach lower the voltage ke
