Tear it down and clean the dirt and dust inside of it thoroughly. Also blow compressed air in the entire motor and circuit area at 5 PSI
\012Reassemble and it should work like new again
This is a common problem. It is the 9-beep error. I suggest buying a repair kit from http://www.eesolutions.ca to fix it. There is a video on the site that you can look at to compare it with your Roombas behavior.

I have the Kenmore Model 116.36722600 Vacuum; while cleaning the carpets the vacuum all of the sudden stop working; I didn't smell anything burning; it was almost like someone unplugged it. I checked the rollers and I can move it forward and backwards with no problem. Do you think the motor just burned out? Does this vacuum have a fuse that I can reuse? Why does my vacuum leave a trail of hair on my floors when it's being pulled backward but suction up fine when it's going forward?

It is because the belt is worn and stretched. when you go forward there isn' t as much resistance and the brush can turn and pick up, but when you go back there is more resistance and doesn't pick up. You simply need to replace the belt. Here is the ... Eureka 5849A Boss Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

G-5 Kirby self-propel works intermitently. The handle must be jiggled until it engages forward. The same for reverse. Once underway it will continue indefinitely until the need to change direction. Jiggle go forward, jiggle go in reverse. It seems as though it helps to push the handle at an angle to the left depressing the switch on the left side at the base of the vacuum head.

I have a VX3000C Broan vacuum and the motor sometimes runs lower and comes back to normal time and time. Plus, now it lamost stops before coming back to normal speed. Can someone explain to me what that might be or if it did happen to someone else? It doesn't stop, but runs at very low speed and come back. It is like if a connection is not made properly. But it does the same at my 3 connections and I did check the one on the vaccuum itselfs.

Roomba Discovery Roomba is fully charged and cleaned with sensor wiped clean. When turned on it it sounds normal and commences to go, but it then acts like it is putting on the breaks, spins, tries to go and manages a short distance and breaks again, just not making any progress because it keeps breaking after a foot or so and turns and tries again. Sometimes is gets so stuck from moving forward at all, like it is stuck in one spot just trying to go while seemingly surrounded by barriers. Somet

DT 1300 As I am vacuuming the motor seems to fade in and out and sometimes stops running for a few seconds and then resumes. If I move the hose a bit near the vacuum end, it runs smoothly again. I have a self propelled Royal Dirt Devil vacuum model number 087900 and it goes backward fine but forward has to be pushed so hard it's impossible. Is this a switch? Do you know about how much the part would cost and can it be done by a beginner. We fix a lot of things ourselves but we aren't mechanics by no means. We put a brand new belt on it. I don't think it can be put on backwards and brush turns fine. Where is the switch? Use layman's terms.

You might try a new belt and/or brush roll. The brush roll is what helps pull a vacuum forward, the power drive helps, but if the brush isn't turning like it should, then it will hinder forward motion. The belt may look ok, but they stretch to the ... Vacuums
