I'm having the same problem with my 560 after a day of use. For me, it's caused by the little yellow spacer that's clipped onto each side of the bristly brush. When the brush assembly is closed, it wedges rather tightly next to that yellow spacer on ... iRobot Roomba 560 Robotic Vacuum

I have a roomba 551. Have cleaned and removed every bit of dirt and hair off it bu the brush cage won't close when the larger bush is put in. The cage will only click locked on one side, and the other side keeps hitting the brush and won't close. It's almost as if the bursh itself is not even, but this doesn't seem to be the case either. I've even tried removing the yellow rings, but makes no difference. Occasionally it runs fine, but most of the time the roomba just hobbles and clacks as i

Hi, had the same problem, it was like the main brush no longer fit into it's slot, so the brush cage would not latch. I discovered that the yellow bearing tip on the main brush twists off, and inside I found a lot of hair twisted around the pin. Th ... Vacuums

My Dyson DC24 sucked in a backpack strap and tripped. I then decided to pull out the brush and clean off whatever else happened to be clung onto it and put it back in. The darn thing doesn't turn anymore. Everyone says to push the reset button in until a click is heard but I put in a bit of force and I haven't heard a click so I stopped because I didn't want to break it. Is there something I haven't checked or do I keep adding force?

If the motor is running and the roller is not turning you may have to let the handle down as you would when you are getting ready to vacuum the flood. I think there is a switch you step on to let the handle down and it will engage the roller bar moto ... Dyson Ball DC24 Bagless Upright Vacuum

My dyson d14 animal keeps cutting in and out. When it's on, the hole above where the filter is, keeps making a loud suction noise and it won't clean up hair and dirt.

Could very well be the belt.\015\012When cleaning the brush it is a good idea to add some WD40 at the ends where the plastic pieces are that hold the brush in the vacuum. The vacuum is making a noise like something is stuck when it is in the carpet position but not when in the floor position. I can't find anything that is stuck in the areas that I can see. I have cleaned the brush but it does not seem to want to turn. Does this machine need to be oiled so the roller will turn? Is there a way to check inside the motor? Do you think that because the brush won't turn that is making the noise? Do you know of any repair shops in the Lake Havasu City, Arizona area?

My Dyson DC 14 is making the horrible "ratcheting"sound only when the brush is engaged on the carpet setting. I have cleaned the brush, so there are no obstructions, the canister is empty and properly on the unit. I checked to make sure all of the "traps" and hoses are clear of obstructions, the belt is on the brush securely and moves freely, the brush itself spins freely, but there is still the "ratcheting" noise.
