Having problems with your iRobot Roomba 550 Vacuum ?

My roomba won't go forward; it just rotates right ~90 degrees and then left ~90 degrees. I've cleaned the brushes, taken it apart and cleaned the brush gears, popped off the front wheel and cleaned the hair off that, taken off the front bumper panel and cleaned off the cliff sensors. Please help!

I took the cover off the brush so I could cut off all the hair that was wrapped around it (vacuum was working fine, I just noticed the hair). I pulled the brush/spinner thing off one side, cleaned everything, popped it back in where it belonged, and tried to make sure the belt was in the proper alignment. It's been awhile since I have used my shampoo system on my Ultimate G series Kirby. Well, as instructed I took it apart and cleaned it. Now I can?t figure out where to put the ?screen cap? and ?sponge filter?. I have my manual in front of me and the only place it shows the filter and sponge (page 35 in the manual) is when it?s been taken apart to clean. It doesn?t show where to put it back. I don?t know what I would do without all the pictures in the Kirby manual. HELP! Thanx. Visual Kirby Vacuu

Folks, My wife and I own a three-year-old Hoover U6434-900 self-propelled "Wind Tunnel" upright vacuum cleaner. The problem is that, even on the highest setting (front-end as high as possible), it gets bogged-down in even shallow pile carpet to the point that the brush stops. I've cleaned the machine thoroughly, pulling hair, thread, dental floss and such from the brush (and everywhere else), including unscrewing the brush end caps and pulling out the cat hair mats which formed in there.

My Kirby 2HD has started making an odd roaring noise but still works fine. I have taken the front assembly off and cleaned and adjusted the roller and checked the belt. The noise seems to come from the motor housing. I have tried to wiggle the main shaft at the front (bearings?) and it seems tight. Can't seem to get the other housings apart. Any ideas? Thanks, John

It is quite possible, it just needs lubed. The motor comes in direct contact with dirt so, you have to make sure the front bearing has a drop of oil on it from time to time. If it starts to scream at you within one month, after oiling, the bearing ... Kirby Heritage II Vacuum

Kirby Heritage II. Beater bar does not turn. One end rotates freely, but the other sticks, preventing the bar from rotating. No obvious means to disassemble the end of the bar. Is there a way to repair this, or does this require replacement of the beater bar? Did clean the front end assembly, and removed all hair, threads and similar obstructions.

** suction The best way to describe it is that when I was vacuuming I could see dust clouds at the front of the vacuum where the light is swirling around in the air.
