I have a roomba 551. Have cleaned and removed every bit of dirt and hair off it bu the brush cage won't close when the larger bush is put in. The cage will only click locked on one side, and the other side keeps hitting the brush and won't close. It's almost as if the bursh itself is not even, but this doesn't seem to be the case either. I've even tried removing the yellow rings, but makes no difference. Occasionally it runs fine, but most of the time the roomba just hobbles and clacks as i

I have a roomba 530 pet series. It appears that the brushes aren't turning. They are free of dirt and debris and move easily when manually turned. But, You can tell there may not be a motor turning, because the roomba is more quiet than normal when you turn it on. Also, the hair just collects along the bottom of the brush and doesn't get pushed into the bin.

I've emptied the dustbin on it. Can you help? I am seeing the same problem on my roomba today. I cleaned all that I could., the brushes, the pins on the sides and all that and it still gives the same problem..Any other fix?

The spinning brush on the side kept falling off. I would put it back on as the little screw usually remained with the brush. Last time it fell off (it has every time I've used it) I lost the tiny little screw. I cannot find reference in the manual to its specifications. As I have had it for less than a week, I am considering returning it.

I noticed the Roomba's brushes were not sweeping, or turning so they could sweep. There was a new sound coming from the machine, the sound of grinding nylon! Upon inspection, I determined the problem to be a heat melted gear support hole. The hole was no longer round but oblong. You could see a ridge of plastic around this hole. So melting I believe was the culprit. The gear that uses that hole was then able to tilt to one side, thereby allowing the gear to disengage from the drive train. I
