Having problems with your Kenmore 22613 Bagged Canister Vacuum ?

The vacuum does not **** in dirt. It is blowing air instead. Yet when I disconnect the vacuum from the cannister, the suction seems very strong. I took it to a vacuum repairman, and he said that Kenmore sucks and I might as well get rid of it. (He wanted to sell me another one) It is 10 years old, but if I can fix it I would like to try.

I have a Polti Vaporetto household steam cleaner that I bought 16 years ago. I haven't used it for about 10 years because the connection between the steam er and the attachments doesn't work properly and it is difficult to use. The shop where I bought it no longer sells them and can't get them fixed anymore. I'm about to ditch it, but thought I would have another go at using it. (It was very expensive). Now I can't get the safety cap off so I can't fill it or test it. Any ideas on what I can do

Kirby Vacuum Hi Bruce, In my opinion, yes the Kirby would be worth it, as long as you are not replacing the motor. The switch would be the most expensive part besides the motor that would need to be replaced. The switch costs USD 49.99, the cord is roughly $39.99, and the carbon brushes are $29.99. I can easily walk you through any of these repairs should you need help. Kirby's are great vacuum cleaners, that usually last 30+ years. Brand new these machines sell in the US for $1600 or more,

Vacuum smells I have a 6 year old rainbow vacuum model E and it smells terrible everytime I use it. Probably because often times i don't remove the water basin after vacuuming and just let it sit. It's my own fault however now I don't know what to do to get rid of this terrible smell. I've water cleaned the hepa filter, not able to remove the separator screw to clean. Dyson DC23 Vacuum shut off and came on. Thought it was a problem at the electrical outlet as when moving plug it would come on again. Seen canister was full, emptied it and cyclone was quite plugged up so poked out the dirt. Had dog hairs in it as well as some ashes I had just vacuumed. Plugged unit in again and pressed switch. Will not come on. Tried another outlet. Is there a reset button somewhere or could the ashes have seized the motor. What can I try besides taking it to a repair sho

Hi There I have got a Kirby 2 HG vaccum cleaner which is around 20 years old now. It was going really well until last week when one of the capacitors which are connected to the brushes blew up. There is two capacitors one for each brush. One of them completely blew to bits and the other one is still intact. My question is are they the same size and where do I get a new one from. I know it is an old machine, but I would like to fix it and get it going again. Any tips???

Hello! I have a problem with my Tefal Sensio scales. They are now probably around four years' old and have been in perfect working order up to now. Well, I had some problems before - the moment I'd step on them, instead of going into "calculating mode" as they usually do, they would show the number 92 straight away and then the display would change into some strange symbols (please don't laugh here :-) - my weight in kg is 55, my husband's around 80 and each of us gets 92 reading). I have a VAX V12 vacuum cleaner which suddenly stopped. The smell indicated Carbon Brush Problems. I contacted a service agent who told me that it was not possible to change the Carbon Brushes brushes on this model and they would need to change the Motor Unit.. To me this sounds very unlikely. Two questions please. Is it possible to change the Carbon Brushes and how do I get the cabinet apart which looks very difficult. I am well qualified electrically to do this job. Regards James Beech

Hello! I purchased the cascade 170 internal filter for my tadpole this past Tuesday. All seemed to be well until I returned home from work this Sunday morning to find him dead. There was a film of little white bubbles all of the top layer of the water. The filter was submersed however it appeared that some of the water had evaporated but was still over the top of the filter. Is there a problem with the filter or the level of water? I'd like to get another tadpole but would like to know

I have had my Bissell 6591-X for 2 years. I hate it! No matter what I do all the fuzz, hair, whatever fills up around the upper filter before it even starts to deposit in the cup. It has done this ever since I bought it. No matter how much I take it apart, clean it, clean filters, empty the cup, nothing does any good. I spill more dirt onto the vacuum and floor than ever gets in the cup. I will never buy another Bissell.
