No suction Just received my refurb. dyson animal bagless. Finally figured out how to get it all together, turned it on and there is no suction coming up thru the beater bar. The hair is just collecting around the bar and not going up into the canister. It appears all the suction is going thru the open red end of the attachment hose, which has a vented cover piece. Am I missing a piece or is there a switch to turn of the attachment suction?

So the red hose isn't connected to a part on the vaccum so like it is connected to the connester but not to an opening just above the beater bar, this is the only idea i can supply you with. good luck, maybe i got lucky and helped you out. ... Dyson DC17 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

My Electrolux Epic 6500 SR will not turn off by pressing on the switch button. I took it apart and removed the switch assy. I can maunually turn it off & on by pressing the rocker arm on the switch assy. It appears that the problem is with the big blue operator button, not the switch assy itself. The button does not seem to press down enough to cause the rocker arm to switch. The button has a "U" shaped wire that presses on the rocker arm and it may have some broken plastic details at the b

My Hoover Windtunnel Mach 6.9 brush roller quit working. Upon investigating I found that the idler arm pulley was broken so I managed to replace that. Before putting the cover back on I see the control knob for the roller brush moves a plastic piece left or right to activate/deactivate the brush roller. I don't know where this plastic piece connects. It appears to me that the idler are when raised creates tension on the belt which drives the roller. I'm at a loss trying to figure ou

Our dog urinated on the machine. We cleaned both filters & plastic areas. Some might have gotten into the motor housing since it still smells terribly when turned on. Please advise

I have a 5260D Baby Lock Serger, which I had tuned up a year ago. I haven't used it very much since. When I took it in, and again now, it sews fine for awhile, then starts slowing down until it is barely sewing, even with the foot all the way down. The hand wheel seems very tight. - it doesn't turn freely, but takes a some push, like it is resisting a bit. Any idea what could cause this slow down and the tight hand wheel? I appreciate any ideas. Thank you. Maura

VACUUM REPAIR I have a Hoover Savvy upright, windtunnel, bag/bagless vacuum (model U8150-900). The Handle Release Foot Pedal - Part #38434026 broke soon after purchase but I finally found a source to replace this item. The problem is that now that I have the repair part I cannot figure out how to remove the old pedal and install the new one. The housing appears to be one piece of solid plastic. Any ideas, PLEASE! Peter

There are 2 tabs that stick out on the release, they fit in slots, so from the top look down and you can see them, using a flatblade screwdriver that will fit in there, push the side in to release it, which isn't easy, but it can be done. When you g ... Vacuums

We have a series 90S, 2.5 gallon Shop Vac. We used it for the first time to try and **** up water in the basement. Each time we turned it on, it would shut down after collecting less than 1" of water. We had to remove and squeeze out the foam sleeve each time, before it would work again (nowhere near 2.5 gallons!). Any ideas? Is the plastic sleeve that can move up and down inside, the float (poorest manual I've ever seen!)? Should there be a ball float that we're missing? Thanks for any s

We have the bissell quicksteamer and as I was shampooing I began to notice something burning so I unplugged our machine immediately; then my mom and I started cleaning all the filters assuming that could be the source of our problem and yes it was a little dirty but I suspected that it would take more thant that to cause our machine to somke soI turned it upside down and noticed there is a cable of copper threads that appear to have some type of rubber or plastic insulation tubing around it but

My DC-25 will not return to the upright position. I emailed Dyson support and the response was: "The DC25 stabilizer wheels will not lock into position if the “spokes” on the red pedal are not seated correctly." I agree with that assessment, but cannot figure out how to get the spokes on the red pedal to seat correctly. The manual is useless for this problem since that part of the vacuum cleaner came already assembled, so the manual does not address it. Help.

It sounds like the undercarriage unit has failed. It is a common problem on ball models. The DC25 is a recent model so would still be under Dyson's 5 year guarantee. Get them out to it. ... Dyson DC15 All Floors - The Ball Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

My vacuum just stopped working, so I don't know what the problem is. I used it in the kitchen to vacuum the hard wood floor.
