Having problems with your Kenmore 25512/ 25513 Progressive Canister Vacuum ?

I have an older kenmore canister powermate 3.9 and the vacuum itself works fine but the powermate isn't sucking after a toy was sucked up last week. The toy is out but the powermate doesn't work. I assuming that is what it is called. The big long part that hooks to the canister that actually cleans the carpet. I would appreciate any help.

The motor in my Powermate (Kenmore Canister 116.27614700) is whining, high pitched, but still works. A local shop told me the motor is dying (the one in the Powermate that drives the beater bar) and would cost $150 for them to repair. The machine is only 1.5 years old and I paid $300...yikes. I think I can fix it but don't understand why the foam gasket that apparently wraps around the motor costs as much as the motor. This is assuming that part 32 (ks747156) is the foam I see glued to my cur

I think you are right! Buy the motor.....use the gasket from the old motor if you can cut it off clean and just glue it on the new one.\015\012\015\012The connectors are just brass blade connectors which you should be able to get at a Ho ... My vacuum has suction with the long tube assembly but not any significant suction down by the rollers. I have a Howard Miller Westminster Chime Mantle Clock. It has always worked fine. It stopped working and my husband took the battery out to change it and when the new battery is in it will not work. It is Model 613-=103 movt 354201J dial 272142J. The part you put the battery in almost looks too big for one double A but I can't see how two would fit. I am afraid the battery is just not in right. Can you help me with how many batteries go in this clock or if it is one what the problem could be.

Kirby Vacuum Hi Bruce, In my opinion, yes the Kirby would be worth it, as long as you are not replacing the motor. The switch would be the most expensive part besides the motor that would need to be replaced. The switch costs USD 49.99, the cord is roughly $39.99, and the carbon brushes are $29.99. I can easily walk you through any of these repairs should you need help. Kirby's are great vacuum cleaners, that usually last 30+ years. Brand new these machines sell in the US for $1600 or more,

Hoover Model U8185-900 beater bar part keeps smoking and burning up We've replaced the part Hoover PCB Display Bridge U8172 three times and the vac beater bar works for about a minute then the part starts to smoke and burns out again. I've taken everything apart but cannot locate anything that would cause this part to burn up. I think if I did not disconnet immediately, he vac would catch my rug on fire. Help? I didn't send back the warranty card, so I can't get any help from Hoover. Any suggest

I'm not sure why this is happening. Perhaps if you would contact Hoover and explain the problem to them such that it appears that there is a safety issue with their product, they might be more cooperative. If that fails, I have had luck writing let ... Hoover U8185-900 Upright Vacuum

Mystery part Bissell 1699-P. I removed the top cover and a part came tumbling out (from the rear of the machine - towards the handle area). I have no idea were this part belongs. I have a schematic of the cleaner but I can not locate the part on it. I tried to copy and paste a picture of the part but that isn't working so I will attempt to discribe the part: There is nothing stampted on the part that I can see. It is plastic(white), 2" long, 3/16" in diamater. One end is U shaped (u-shape is 1/4

One question... you haven't mentioned that the vacuum doesn't work now... as hard as this is to accept... if it doesn't effect the function... forget about it.... i could very well have been something you vacuumed up along the way.\015\012 ... Bissell 1699 ProHeat Clear View Upright Steam Vacuum

I'm using Miele Medivac vacuum and I just sucked in a small plastic eye drop container by accident(I sometimes take off the brush part to **** in 'small enough' articles). And it is jammed in the part where the plastic hose connector bends. I think I can take it out if I can just disconnect the long necked plastic hose connector that connects the metal wand part and the hose part.
