Kenmoore Canister 25812 Failure

\015 The LED lights located on the extended hose do not light up when the cannister is operating and the entire agitator housing is dead...that is it does not work when the vacuum is turned on. Checked contacts...clean. Is there a circuit breaker for both?\015

Answers :

Some of the powerheads have a circuit breaker on the top of it. Just push it to reset. May have a bad circuit pcb in the hose handle.

My new Kenmoore Powermate 116 canister has poor suction. I have no pets and light dust. Its not picking up small particles on the wood floor with the floor attachment. When I put my hand to the suction it feels weak. Cleared hose and changed bag. Using again, same issues. This should not be happening with a new vacuum. Is it a bad design in the elbow joint of the hose? I want to return this!!!!

First of all disassemble the handle and hose as much as possible and examine the inside. I had the vacuum cleaner question about the canister and the wand/powerhead... the Kenmore Progressive Vacuum canister model 116.25812 and the canister not powering off without unplugging the vacuum. The solution I received that they both run on their own switch so it is normal makes sense. However, is there a power switch on the canister anywhere? The only way for the canister to be turned off is by unplugging it. Any ideas? One would think there would be a switch. I am new to fixya and hope

I cleaned out my brush in the bottom front, cleaned out the small tubing going into the canister, and the canister itself. I also changed the filter.I snapped everything back into place, but Since then, it doesn't seem to have any suction and there seems to be a space between the canister and the bottom of the vacumm where the canister sits. When we turn on the vacuum, the canister falls open. The clips holding the canister in place do not seem to hold the canister tightly which I'm sure that it did in the past. The clips do not look bent, but every time we turn on the vacuum the intense pressure blows the canister open only remaining attached the the rest of the vacuum by one clip

Check filter and make sure it is kept clean at regular intervals. Possibly worn out clip retainers on cannister side due to excessive pressure build up. My electrolux ambassador power wand quit working. I replaced the switch that shuts it off when the roller stops, but it wasn't the problem. The on/off switch is fine, the motor is fine.
