Having problems with your Kenmore Vacuums ?

The brush wouldn't work when the selector switch was in carpet mode. Took the power head apart and removed the motor. Everything o.k. in the power head. Checked and found that the neutural wire had pulled out of the connector, the connector was never crimped at the factory. What a day! Took 2 hours and a large pizza to get it done. Neutral wire was in the hose just below the handle. Reconnected the wire and crimped it, put everything back together. It works!!!!

The power head of my DC 21 keeps cutting off as soon as I start moving the hose around. The only way to get it going again is to step on the main switch on the canister, then the whole cycle of off and on starts again. I have replaced the entire power head and tested the continuity of all the wires in the hose and they are good. The repair shop says the PCB is bad but can not get one. What can I do ?

Not much. my only suggestion is to dig through the internet and try and find that pcb it may take awhile but it would be worth a shot. if you dont think you can make the repair take it to repair shop with new pcb and let them do it. ... Dyson Genuine DC-21 "Stowaway" Spare HEPA Filter, Dyson

Power Issue Hi...my Miele vacuum cleaner (S314) will not turn on, unless I lean it on its side (the side that the power switch is on). I took it apart and the wires are all well attached, and I do not see any issues with the connectors. Is this a common problem with an easy fix? Thanks! Todd

Could be the cord reel causing the problem. Sometimes the contacks on the inside of the reel loose contact and won't conduct. If this is the problem, then you will have to replace the reel cord asm. Part # 06777540, may cost about $150 approx. ... Vacuums

No power. I was getting intermittent power with my miele s558 midsize canister, but it was predicated with me fiddling with the retractable cord to get it to come on and then not move the canister while I was vacuuming. Now I can get no power. I have taken it apart and can see no issues with connectors, cord, casings, etc. It all looks fine. It is about 5 years old and I have had no problems with it.

Have them replace at the Aerus Electrolux shop. Aerus uses a higher grade plastic (Lexan, read about it on the net) which should last the life of the the power nozzle and wands. The part and labor will have a 1 year warranty. ... Electrolux Epic 6500 Vacuum

On a Kirby sentria the metal spool sticking out that goes into hose or power head becomes extremely hot and left burns marks on brush tube. It only gets hot when using power head. I checked all adjust

Check the brush roll to be sure it's spinning free too much drag can cause that to get hotter but usually it would break the belt. That spindle will get hot from the friction created by turning the belt and from the motor's heat. They'll just get hot ... Kirby Vacuums

My electrolux ambassador power wand quit working. I replaced the switch that shuts it off when the roller stops, but it wasn't the problem. The on/off switch is fine, the motor is fine. We have traced the problem to the wires inside the canister by opening the inside cover to the bag container. We see the power cords going into the canister but we're not able to get to anything. We can't find any screws to undo that would open it up in order to follow the wires deep into the canister. We've bypa
