Having problems with your Kenmore Vacuums ?

Both of the wheels are wobbly and loose on my Kenmore upright vacuum model 721.37060. I don't see where I can remove them to analyze and fix the problem, which seems to be that the wheels are loose on their axels. How do I get the wheels off and what do you think I'll find inside?

Most if not all vacuums have an access panel on the bottom. It may be held on by a couple of big plastic clips, the kind you squeeze together and it releases a door. Some have plastic screws. There may also be a couple of phillips screws along with it or screws alone.Every one I have had for at least 20 years has the bottom open.I constantly clean the brush/rollers due to strings and such.I have found a link for your vacuum. It appears that your answer is on page 18.You need Adobe to read it.If you do not have it it is a FREE,SAFE download,no junk.I have used it for years.Good luck! You should be able to see if the wheels are solid, or if there is a cap on the outside in the center of the wheel. If there is a cap, try and wedge a small flat screwdriver and lift the cap off. You should find a nut or splitpin in the center on the axle.

NO POWER My Dyson DCO4 Absolute (purple&lime) won't' switch on. I've checked the plug fuse, wall socket and also filters and hoses on machine all seem fine so think the problem is with the on/off button (maybe loose wire or something) but how do i get to it, is there a special way to remove the green on/off button in order to check the connection? Thankyou in advance for the help i am sure you will be able to provide.

The problem is almost certainly a fatigue break in the flex. These usually happen where the flex enters the handle through the rubber sleeve near the on off switch. You will need to cut about four inches off the wire and reconnect it to the switch. ... Vacuums

Hello! I purchased the cascade 170 internal filter for my tadpole this past Tuesday. All seemed to be well until I returned home from work this Sunday morning to find him dead. There was a film of little white bubbles all of the top layer of the water. The filter was submersed however it appeared that some of the water had evaporated but was still over the top of the filter. Is there a problem with the filter or the level of water? I'd like to get another tadpole but would like to know

IRobot rumba 4000 seems to run ok and then starts making a kinda hi pitched growling noise and slows way down. it is very clean(blown clean with air compressor)sensors are clear ,newly installed well lubricated on ends of brush and beater bar, new battery. it seems like the wheel tracks may be dragging . i have cleaned and lubricated where i could on them but can't find a way to totally remove and inspect wheel tracks.

It sounds like your Roomba's brush gears are not working. Run the robot without the dust bin to see if the brushes are turning. If they are not, the robot will need to be replaced. Contact iRobot CS for support at (877) 855-8593. ... iRobot Roomba 4000 Bagless Robotic Vacuum

Really love this vacuum! Don't want to have to part with it!

If you are able to remove one end cap, the brush roller shaft can be removed and the other bearing is exposed for examination and removal of the hair that probably is clogging it. After cleaning and reassembly the brush roller should rotate freely. C ... Eureka 2961AVZ Bagless Upright Vacuum

I have the yellow altima vac. for a while now I can not get the darn thing to pick up properly. Or should i say keep it up.. The vac does seem to be getting everything picked up but as soon as you turn it off, you have a mess under the vac.. I have checked for clogks and can't seem to find any.. I have removed the hose, Nothing there.. And yep have removed the yellow thing inside the trash cup.. Is there anything else you could suggest??

If it smells hot, then there's a strain on the motor no doubt about it. Check the suction channel behind the sole plate and remove all of the hoses to check for a clog. Hello, I have a problem with my Eureka Powerline bagged upright vacuum. It has a 12 amp motor and is model #4352, Type D. It was probably bought new in 1998. My problem is, while vacuuming today the motor seemed to slow down all of the sudden and then began smelling like burning rubber. I shut the vacuum off to check for blockages but could not find anything blocked. When I then turned it on again it runs but seems to only be running at 1/2 the motor speed and still has the rubber buring smell.

It sounds like a rubber sealing in the motor has come loose and is being constantly rubbed against the walls of the motor with would cause the smell and loss of motor speed caused by the fricton of rubber against the rod so if you can get to the moto ... Vacuums

Hoover Wind Tunnel 7500 Brush not Turning. I have replaced the Brush and the belt. The problem does not seem to be either to me. I believe might be a missing part. The place were the belt hooks on is a metal pole which never seems to grip the belt well. In fact it seems loose most of the time and slips on the brush, causing the belt to eventually burn up. Could there be a missing plastic or rubber piece meant to hold the belt taught  on the metal pole?

Have Dyson DC 14. When tilt to vacuum, the handle and coiled hose comes away from the unit. The problem started when the little purple ridged curved part on front of vacuum cleaner right below handle came loose and a spring fell out from somewhere--don't know where. I pushed on the purple ridge part and it snapped back on. Now, can't get it loose again, don't know where the spring goes, and handle still comes loose from vacuum.

I'm using (or WAS using) a Eureka ''the boss'' model 8803. The belt broke, no biggie, so I replaced it with a Eureka model U belt, the problem is when I put the new belt on and turn on the vaccuum, the belt breaks again. I am also having trouble getting the brush roller to fit right when the belt is in place. I can't find any sharp edges that would cut the belt, nor can I find where any small bits may have broken. Anyone have a solution for me?
