Tech drive lever fell off

\015 Was quoted $100 just to open it up. So I opened it myself, then saw on this site that the lever can fall off. Now I need some help getting it back on correctly and getting the other pieces to go back in where they are supposed to. I tried the phone number to contact this site but it just kept ringing.\015

I have a Kirby G5 and need to replace the gear drive shaft, as the lever inside fell off and the shaft came out. (Common problem by the sound of it.) How do i remove the actual gearbox itself. I have removed the 3 screws on the bottom, but it's not coming out. What's stopping it from coming out? Do i need to remove the gearbox drive belt first? If so, how do i get to it? Thanks in advance.

We have a Hoover upright vacuum cleaner, model Core 7. There is a switch that turns on and off the brush drive. This operates via a cam with a bearing putting pressure on the final drive belt to engage the brush head. My brush head is not turning and with the lever set to engage the drive there is still considerable slack in the final drive belt. There appears to be only a bearing deflecting the belt, should there be a pully or other device mounted on this bearing? There is so much slack a

Yes, there should have been a white plastic sprocket on top of the bearing - in its channel the belt would sit. Unfortunately no parts are available for this unit that can be bought retail - only available by order to dealer repair shops.\012\012\012 ... Hoover Vacuums

I have a Series G Kirby Model G7D. The other day when I was vacuuming all of a sudden the TechDrive (Power Drive Assist N/D) pedal fell off. I see the hole that it goes into but when I put it in it's loose and falls out and doesn't control the power drive anymore. When I shook the vacuum I heard something rattling around inside the vacuum head. So I unscrewed the bottom and looked inside and found a small metal part labeled K3 on one side and T on the other side. It looks like it would fit
