Having problems with your Kirby Generation 3 Bagged Upright Vacuum ?

The handel is becoming wobbly where it connects to the vacuum. I am afraid it might break

Answers :

Sadly it most likely will break. However, a temporary solution is not only easy and workable the down side is it's not that pretty. Just take a standard 3 foot wooden dowel (any hardware store) 1/4 inch in diameter and some duct tape. Put the dowel parallel to the handle and wrap the duct tape around both the handle and the dowel from top to bottom.

\015\012This has extended the life of ORECK's notoriously weak handles for years. Hope it helps.

I built a new house nearly a year ago but didn't move in until recently. The Nutone central vacum system doesn't have much suction. I have a VX3000C Broan vacuum and the motor sometimes runs lower and comes back to normal time and time. Plus, now it lamost stops before coming back to normal speed. Can someone explain to me what that might be or if it did happen to someone else? It doesn't stop, but runs at very low speed and come back. It is like if a connection is not made properly. But it does the same at my 3 connections and I did check the one on the vaccuum itselfs.

Miele vacuum Sometimes when I hit the auto roll up cord button or even move the cord, the power vacuum goes off. I move the cord again and it comes back on. I took it apart and looked at the connection from the cord to the auto roller. These are the electrical slip on type connections and are still in good shape. There are no bends in the cord. I air dusted everthing inside, put it together (with no extra parts!). Good news..it powered up so I did not break it, but it still has the same problem.

We have had the power wires that run through the swivel elbow at the end of the main handle extensions and the power head break after being repaired two times. The new swivel elbow and wiring connection was installed bya local, non-electrolux vacuum shop each time. What is the trick?

Hi, I have a Dirt Devil Model # M08100REDC. I desperately need to change the bag, but I don't see an obvious way to do it. I'm afraid to try pulling on the cloth tab thingy that's just below the handle, between the rubber ring that holds the bag on the vac, because it seems like stuff will fly everywhere from the force required to remove it, and I might not be able to get it back on there. Should I just pull on that cloth tab until the bag comes off? Thanks, Roberta

You can pull on the tab to remove the bag, but probably a better way is to gently pull on the rubber ring that attaches the bag to the back of the vacuum body. When I engage the beater roller it will work for a short time (15-20 seconds) and then squeel loudly as if something is not engaging properly. I checked the roller ends and cleaned them but it seems to roll freely by hand while connected to the belt and then at a time it becomes very hard to turn by hand.
