Shampooer instructions..... I have a Kirby Generation 3 with the shampooer. it has been awhile since i have used it and i sort of remember how to attach it but i was wondering this vacuum has a tray and i assume it is for sucking up the dirty water but when i went to use it no dirty water was going into the tray.....help what did i do wrong......thank you for your time...............spanny

My Kirby shampooer - G4 - hardly used any water from the tank and no suds at all. Pet hair did blow out of the small slotted holes in the tray as I moved the shampooer back and forth, but the carpet was basically dry. I did vacuum before shampooing, so the brush part seemed to work great during shampooing, but no water! The small screen was stuck in the crook of the hose that attached to the tank so I did get that out and put it on the small hole on the tank, but it didn't make any difference. I

Shampoo-er This seems to be a common problem, the shampooer is putting out alot of water and hardly any suds. I read through the posts about the little filter that sometimes gets out of place and I think I found it in the box - is it about 1" diameter hard plastic ring around very fine mesh? If so where exactly does it go? Some posts say in the hose, and others say in the opening of the tank. Or does it go in the place where the hose attaches to the tray? I have bissell powerforce turbo bagless upright vacuum. Its a great machine. It is clogged though. I think I was not emptying the dirt collection tray thing enough. How can I unclog it. No Water My Bissell rug shampooer does not eject water or saop whan I pull the saop trigger on the handle. I checked both filters and they are clean. Then, I removed the container that sucks up the water and pulled the saop trigger, water barely came out of the tubes.
