Having problems with your Kirby Heritage II Vacuum ?

Kirby heritage II is oil required on the shaft bearing.

\015 Someone vacuumed a wet rug and water was sucked up. Do I have to oil the bearing to prevent further damage?\015

Answers :

I would not worry if it happened once and it was removed soon. Most likely it will cause very little damage to the bearing if any.

Kirby Heritage II. Beater bar does not turn. One end rotates freely, but the other sticks, preventing the bar from rotating. No obvious means to disassemble the end of the bar. Is there a way to repair this, or does this require replacement of the beater bar? Did clean the front end assembly, and removed all hair, threads and similar obstructions.

The bearing is bad on the end that turns hard. You will need to purchase a new brush roll assembly. If the roller is older that 4 or 5 years, it should be changed anyway. The brush strips that scrub the carpet loose their strength after many years of ... Vacuums

My Kirby 2HD has started making an odd roaring noise but still works fine. I have taken the front assembly off and cleaned and adjusted the roller and checked the belt. The noise seems to come from the motor housing. I have tried to wiggle the main shaft at the front (bearings?) and it seems tight. Can't seem to get the other housings apart. Any ideas? Thanks, John

It is quite possible, it just needs lubed. The motor comes in direct contact with dirt so, you have to make sure the front bearing has a drop of oil on it from time to time. If it starts to scream at you within one month, after oiling, the bearing ... Kirby Heritage II Vacuum

I have what I thought to be a Kirby Classic Omega that is in excellent running condition and looks great. I love it and have been using it for years, but it is recently going through an identity crises! I looked on the identification plate under the motor while cleaning it and discovered that the ID sticker says it's a Kirby Classic III. How can this be when every part of my dear kirby is Omega brown? There is not a hint of Red or Rosewood! Is there another way to determine the actual model b

The Kirby Omega was made from 1973 to 1976.The classic III 1976 to 1979When in for repair the case (motor cover) from a Classic could be put on the Omega. This happens in repair shops if the teck. has two apart at the same time and was no ... Vacuums
