Can not put the head on so the belt will stay on
\015 I'm trying to vacuum can not. I hate my kirby vacuum cleaner I wish I would of not spent the money. I can not get the belt to stay on.\015
Make sure the belt is position in the middle before u put the head on . hook the belt on by turning it to red. its easier when u put the height adjuster all the way up. slid the head straight onto the front. and lift the back so it goes over the ledge. and then pull the lock down to secure. amke sure the safetly switch is activated. then turn it to green. when u turn the kirby on if the green light is greena dn not off or dim or on and off. then u put the belt on correctly. if green light is not on . try again .. it comes with practise. once u get the hang of it .. its pretty easy

We have a Hoover upright vacuum cleaner, model Core 7. There is a switch that turns on and off the brush drive. This operates via a cam with a bearing putting pressure on the final drive belt to engage the brush head. My brush head is not turning and with the lever set to engage the drive there is still considerable slack in the final drive belt. There appears to be only a bearing deflecting the belt, should there be a pully or other device mounted on this bearing? There is so much slack a
Yes, there should have been a white plastic sprocket on top of the bearing - in its channel the belt would sit. Unfortunately no parts are available for this unit that can be bought retail - only available by order to dealer repair shops.\012\012\012 ... Hoover Vacuums

Hoover bagless cannister 3765 - belt on power head slips off spindle. bought new belts - same problem. is this a design problem or can it be fixed? I don't want to take it to a repair shop 100 miles away and have them just put on a new belt. saw idea of smaller belt - what number? couldn't find suggested royal 104425001 belt.
I would not recommend a smaller belt. You will only wear the motor. This model series power nozzle needs to have a metal clip installed near the belt on the brush roller housing. I know that most of them left the factory without it. Remove the cover ... Hoover S3765-040 WindTunnel Bagless Canister Vacuum

When we put the head on the belt will not work
Check to make sure the belt has been "scooped up" by the hook in the head. When you turn the knob on the head to remove it, it's supposed to "scoop" up the belt and pull it away from the shaft. If you don't have the belt on the hook when you place ... Kirby Vacuums
The hose works great, but the head of the vaccuum does not pick up anything !!! I checked every opening that may have been clogged, but nothing came up. When I hold my hand under the brush/roller, it seems to be putting out more air than intaking air. Particles "dance" on the carpet, but don't get "sucked up" into the vaccuum ? I have had the vaccuum only 1 year, so the brushes should not be a problem. I changed the bag, and checked the belt. The belt and brushes seem to be OK. ?

I have a Kirby Heritage II which normally works amazingly well, but it's not playing at all nicely today - and of course we have apartment inspections tomorrow. *dies* The belt broke today (as did the replacement belt, which I'd bought at the same time, so apparently the rubber was old), so I went over to Stark's to get some new ones - but it still won't cooperate. I've taken the head apart and put it back together several times, to be sure that everything is properly seated, but it's just not

I have two old identical 5842's that I use in the garage and around the house. The belt broke on one so I bought a bag of 2 genuine Eurika "U" belts, which is the correct belt for this vacuum. They were obviously smaller than the original belt because they were not stretched out. When I put the new belt on it lasted about 20 minutes and then came off. I put it back on and ran the vacuum with the cover off to see what was wrong. Everything looked fine except the belt rides to the outside edge of

I put it around the beater brush and the metal bar I thought it should go around, yet it seemed like there should be something else there to put the belt on. What do you suggest? Do you have picture I could go by?
The metal bar you put it around if the bar itself does not spin it is going to burn the belt up. Every thing that the belt is supposed to go around has to turn or the belt will rub on the piece not moving and brake. ... Vacuums
My Mom has a Dirt Devil Featherlite and the belt falls off all the time. I put it on three times today and it falls off within a few minutes. The belt post I put it on doesn't have anything to hold the belt on. Is there supposed to be something holding the belt?

Miele, Flamenco II. 2 probs. 1. the head brush is not turning when I put it on the floor. If I pick it up to look inside...the brush is spinning fast..I put it down on the floor...the head does not spin at all. 2. The suction power has dropped significantly. The suction used to be so intense, the head would **** itself to my floor and hold on...now, hardly any suction at all.
